So what are your opinions on remakes and adaptations. In general or specific examples of remakes you either love or hate.

My idea for this thread came from watching Being Human on OnDemand, they have both the US and UK versions and it interesting to compare the two. I’m especially curious to see how the US expands on the original. The first season is twice as long in the US then in the UK version, and I’ve heard that the writers have avoided watching season 2 of the UK version so they can build on the premise in their own way.

So what are your views/examples?
