James Deen will be in 'The Canyons', with Lindsay Lohan, later this year. He's also going to be playing D. B. Cooper in the upcoming film 'Novel', which sounds pretty interesting (I've always found the D. B. Cooper story fascinating). The teaser/trailer is here.

Do you think he'll be successful, and start doing more mainstream work? Or do you think he should stay in porn?

I'll reserve judgement until I see him in those films. My wife and I are both fascinated by the DB Cooper story, so we'll almost certainly catch that one. I like Deen's work in porn. He has an easy grace that COULD translate well to mainstream acting, but it's a whole different ballgame (no pun intended!).

I may be biased because my wife is into him and so speaks highly of his acting skills but I think he could make it if given the chance.

I've seen him say in interviews that he hasn't been taken too seriously on set so I hope he does get more respect in future projects.

I know porn acting isn't exactly comparable with other acting but his SAS (sexandsubmission) acting is some of the best I've seen in porn
