also, anything by tom robbins. his tongue-in-cheek quips are hilarious, witty, deep, romantic, crude, and erotic in turn. still life with woodpecker was great.

or alice in wonderland and through the looking glass by lewis carroll. a classic, and obviously, my bible.

or the alchemist by paolo coelho - an incredible novel about destiny and following your heart. sounds cheesy, in reality is amazing.
