3d movies...
How do you feel about watching movies at the theater in 3D?

They make me nauseous. I hate having to wear the glasses too.

I only wish for that hype to end.

It looks so bad because 95 percent of the movies arent filmed with 3d cameras but converted afterwards. And then they cut corners and dont even convert them the high quality way. 3d gives me a headache, and you have to stare at the screen an exact way or you can see anything. Everything out of the side looks really bad. It makes no sense, but there was a huge influx of 3d about 30 years ago and then it disappeared. I think the same will happen again. It always comes and goes.

It depends on the movie for me. I enjoyed it when I saw Thor in 3D, but the best one was the last Pirates of the Caribbean movie. But that was filmed with 3D in mind, not converted afterward. That makes the difference. Oh, the last Harry Potter movie was good in 3D, too. You're supposed to recycle your glasses after the movie is over, but I kept my last ones as a souvenir. heh

i wear glasses, and so wearing the 3d glasses plus my own lead to a painful nose bridge and headaches. So i prefer 2D.

They're ok, I'm probably not going to pay extra to see something in 3d, and it still kinda feels like "well we don't really have a story line, lets add 3d!"
11/16/2011
Yeah I prefer 2D.

I've seen a few that were awesome, and a few that were less than stellar. To me, being in 3D doesn't make or break a movie and I'd just as soon go see a plain ol' 2D one.

Many other people report the same thing, so I am not sure it will ever be more then a fad niche.

I've only seen one movie in 3D, and it gave me an intense, horrible, 3-day-long migraine headache. Never again.

the benefit isn't worth the price. thankfully they're going out of style. I just feel sorry for people who bought the expensive 3D tvs.

The 3D glasses don't sit very well over my glasses and end up bothering me. I don't care for paying the extra 3D fee, too, since there is usually just a few scenes in 3D, not the whole movie.

I'm another person with glasses. The 3D looks cool, but pretty blurry.
11/17/2011
they're great ,,, but the movie has to be interested too

I have no depth perception. 3D movies are a waste of time and money.

I don't even like going to theaters, so I've never experienced a 3D movie there. My husband and son occasionally do watch 3D movies, but they're not impressed by them.

I never saw a movie in 3d I actually prefer 2D.

Pretty cool, but a long movie will give me a headache. Add in IMAX to that with all the looking around, and it's painful. Hello Avatar! (though that was a good one)

I LOVE them - when it's the right movie I like the option for 2D though

I've seen The Polar Express and Deathly Hallows Part 1 in 3D. The Polar Express was great and the 3D really added to the feel of the movie, Deathly Hallows was just ok, didn't add to the feel and the 3D effect was done poorly

Meh.. I'm typically very progressive, but when it comes to 3D movies, I'd like to stick to.. tradition, if it were.
3D simply hurts my eyes.
In a bad way.

Most movies are so subtle with it these days that I don't see the point. However if the new muppets movie is in 3D, I will probably prefer to see it in 3D since they are likely not to be subtle with it. It might be a bit stupid, but not subtle.

3D hurts my eyes. And the colours suck. But the Lion King would be cool to see
11/24/2011
If it's a movie designed to use 3D and use it well, then I like it, but if it's just thrown in at the last minute, then it isn't really worth it.

They are OK. Only complaint is that they are more expensive to watch, doesn't make sense to me.
11/25/2011
I wish this trend would go away. Give me a headache and totally alters the experience of the movie.

I liked Avatar, didn't like Pirates of the Caribbean... Love the Pink Floyd lazer light show ;D
