I picked zombies, because they are my fave, but I also love slashers and ghost movies. Horror is just my ish, I love it.
Horror Movies

Love Love all things Horror. If I get scared I call it a good movie.

I like ghost flicks. I don't like the way ghosts are portrayed these days (as in holograms of black and white movies, and very jittery movements) but watching Paranormal it was very effectively done.

Ooh, but I do like alien movies because I get to see wacky set designs.

I love zombie movies. They scare me so bad. One of the weirdest Horror/Sci fi movies I have seen is Altered States that movie made me jump so high. The ending was not what I was hoping for.

All of the above.

I can't pick just one. I like them all except movies with Aliens. No idea why I don't like them. They just bug me.

I'm picking zombie, since some of my favorites like "Re-Animator", "Dead-Alive", "City of the Living Dead" fall there.
04/02/2011
all of them except ghost movies

I really like most horror films, but the ones that really stick with me are the ones with more suspense than gore. The first zombie flick, to me, is the best: "Night of the Living Dead", filmed 40+ years ago but it still holds up! I really love the original "Halloween" as well. Don't get me wrong, the blood and gore slasher flicks are a lot of fun, but the best ones make you think too!

I voted for Slasher since that has been my favorite for years. However, my tastes seem to be changing and zombies and vampire or werewolf movies are a close second and may overtake the slashers soon. The first and best slasher movie I remember seeing as a teen was Friday the 13th. So many have come out since then and I actually saw Scream 4 tonight, but the old ones are still my favorites.

If I could choose multiples I would have gone with werewolves and vampires, but werewolves won today.

Hard choice! D:
I picked vampires. Mostly because I think that when the monster character can talk it makes it more interesting and gives it depth.
I was going to choose zombies. I love them. But, all zombies do is make weird noises. "UGHHHH!" Same with most of the other ones.
Except... I didn't really think about the ghost category. Some of those are really freaky. There is this one movie called "Ghost Ship" that gives the ghost characters more depth. It was also really freaky hah. I guess were not talking about the ones that freak us out more though.
So my favorite type is of horror flick is vampires.

can Hollywood STOP remaking (and ruining) every good horror movie???
04/26/2011
Ghosts and demons.

I love a good ghost story.
I don't watch slasher films. The plots and the acting are always awful.
Demon stuff, as long as its well done, is always interesting. We just saw The Rite with Anthony Hopkins and that's the way to do a film about a demon. It wasn't over the top with special effects and there was a lot of psychological terror. The Devil's Advocate was also a good Devil film. Scary as hell, and few special effects.
When Stephen King stuff is done properly, its great. We saw The Shawshank Redemption last night, (although it's not traditional Horror) and it was fantastic, although Christine was terrible in film.

I'm not really into horror movies, so much as horror subjects treated in a non-horror way.

All of the above, Love horror flicks.

I am a sucker for Vamps. If you want a good ghost story check out the movie forget me not was very good movie

If I'm looking for a good scare, then ghost movies, or anything dealing with unknown creatures, tend to get the best reactions. The Ring, The Blair Witch Project, and Paranormal Activity (sorry, P'Gell, gonna disagree with you on this one ) all scared the crap out of me, and still do.
If I'm not interested in getting scared, then it's werewolf movies. Werewolves are just fun, really. The Company of Wolves is my favorite, despite being weird as all hell.
