Hemingway seemed to be more of a mans man.

I love Hemingway because he gets right to the point, whereas Faulkner meanders all over the place and often, I'm left wondering whether I really got the point he was trying to make — or whether he even WAS trying to make a point, sometimes.
Faulker's writing IS more beautiful, though. I haven't read anything of his in decades; it's probably about time I gave him another go.

I just realized I totally missed the point of the question!
Well, my vote is still correct, anyway. Hemingway knew how to box. He was an amateur boxer before becoming a writer, and he even had a boxing ring in the yard of his house in Key West. Faulker didn't know anything about boxing, as far as I know...so I'm pretty sure Hemingway would have made short work of him in the boxing ring. Especially if the two men boxed the same way they wrote!

I'm not saying my dark horse bet is likely, but I'd like to see Faulkner win. Maybe if Hemingway had way, way too much.
