Yes, but I pay to go to conventions so it's not a surprise or anything. They are usually nice because they are getting a lot of attention & getting paid. My favorite surprise was when I met Joss Whedon at an Angel con because he wasn't scheduled to attend. It was sooo cool.

I picked awesome, though it was really just normal. It was cool to meet people who's work I admire, but in the end they really are just really talented people.

This really needs an other option.
I met two of the Suicide Girls (Radeo and Tita) at Comicon a few years ago, but I'm not sure if they would count as "celebrities" ; ; or not.
They were super sweet and nice actually, I was shocked their booth didn't have a crowd or line. =3
They even autographed the Suicide Girls book I bought for no added charge...with cute little hearts and all.
You guys ought to google Radeo actually, she's absolutely gorgeous. :3

Della Reese, Majel Barret (sp), Johnny Depp, Jack Nicholsen, Neil Gaiman... Della was abusive, Majel was weird, Johhny was an unwashed cretin, Jack well he was jack, and Neil was an insufferable asshole and really nasty to the help.

(I worked in a mall in Beverly Hills in the China Department of a large retailer)
Then at another retailer:
Weird Al (awesome guy), Jimmy Page (holy cow, old dude is still hot), Obama before he was elected (graceful and poised), Callahan a bunch of times

Gary Coleman. It was so damn wierd. I was sure he wanted to have sex with my friend.

No interest of mine.

I chatted with MC Frontalot and MC Lars (nerdcore rappers) during and after their show a couple years back. Frontalot autographed the cd I bought (and he was actually running his own merch booth, so I bought it from him) and Lars ended up hanging out with my friends and I for most of the show after his set. Both were really awesome guys. I met the guy who played Carlton on Fresh Prince of Bel Aire when I was on a field trip in high school, too. he was staying in the same hotel we were, and he even took a picture with a couple of my classmates.

I shoot the hand of the governor of my state and Taylor Hicks. Other than that not really.

Haha, I forgot, I once bit the lead singer of Suicide City after a show. I was wearing a shirt that said bite me so he asked me to bite him instead.
My mom dated a member of the band Chicago for a year or so when she was younger.

I've "met" some famous people at conventions, and they were great.

I wish!

Mario Lopez and I were in the same freestyle wrestling league since we were 11 years old, and we were on the same all-star wrestling team back in high school. Have not seen him since high school though. Pretty ordinary guy, and he actually helped me pull a prank on some of my classmates who were big Saved By the Bell fans.
And then there was that time at a tournament in Vegas that he picked up a high school synchronized swimming team....

I was at a casual bday party a few years ago and Matt Damon was there, he was soooo sweet and polite to everyone!
I've also met Weird Al but I didn't really talk to him, we had backstage passes with a ton of other people so it was more like "hi! Your show was hilarious" "thanks!" *picture* "Bye!" "Have a great night!"

Yes, I met Leonard Nimoy at one of his last conventions. He was very nice and awesome!!

I've met many famous people in my line of work! Too many to even name.
02/04/2013
a few basketball players
02/04/2013
I've met a few, from sports to Hollywood types. Most were very nice and it was kind of cool, while some were complete jerks.

I met and had a conversation with Elvira Woodruff once (a popular children's author). It wasn't great, it wasn't awful, it just was.
Once a elderly woman and I were just chatting at work (I worked in a library), and she told me she met Isaac Asimov and thought he was kind of an ass.

I met a few when I was younger but don't remember who, lol. I think one was Howie from BSB. But um, I have seen Carrot Top at the gym countless times.

I've said hello to a couple before, but never really gotten to talk to anyone.

When I was in college, the restaurant I worked for gave free food to the basketball stars, so I met all of them - and even met Michael Jordan once when he stopped by the restaurant to say thanks! MJ was VERY cool and friendly; a number of the college 'ballers were complete jerks, others were decent people. Some of them have gone on to fame and fortune. I also met some famous musicians through my good friend who worked at the local music club. He went on to become a somewhat famous producer himself. I'm still kicking myself for not going to the club when Nirvana played. I would have loved to meet them.
The father-in-law of my ex-girlfriend's BFF is an NFL hall of famer from before my time; I didn't realize he was a big deal when I first met him. I had drinks/dinner with him many times. He was nice at times, a jerk at others!
Back when I spent my life on the road, I saw MANY celebrities in airports. Tony Bennett was the most impressive (even though I'm not really a fan). He just had presence. I didn't approach him, or any of the other celebrities I saw. I figured, if I were in their position, I'd want privacy. The two times I almost broke this rule were mountaineer Reinhold Messner and porn superstar Taylor St. Claire!
