I watched Dead Man Walking when I was in college and that made me re-evaluate my theories on the death penalty. It did not change my belief, just my perspective.
Has a movie ever made a large impact on your life?

Nope. Can't say that about any movie.

"Tuesdays with Morrie" ... really made me look at Living life very differently. I was at the right time in my divorce grief to listen to the message, so I'm Living more than Existing now.

Honestly star wars and aliens. Shocker right, i know i talk alot about them. I watched them as an infant literally a few months old, and than kept watching from there. Theyve shaped my life dramatically. From the places ive moved, etc. Im not a person who you would assume was such a nerd if you just seen me but if the subject comes up, youd be shocked by the amount of scifi or just movie stuff i know.

The Green Mile did it to me.

The 5 People You Meet In Heaven and The Color Purple (the book more so) both had a huge positive impact and ET traumatized me for life.

The Kid. It's a Disney movie with Bruce Willis that came out maybe 10-12 years ago. It made me re-evaluate the importance of people/family and friends and realize that working yourself to death for money was a ridiculous concept; money can't take care of you when you are sick, laugh with you when you are silly, or hand you a tissue to dry your tears. Very good movie. It's the only movie that has EVER moved my husband to tears (and when he sees that I posted this, he's going to be mad!)

Cool Hand Luke very recently changed my outlook on a lot of things. I bucked it the first time we watched it because there is a ton of religious imagery and comparisons of Luke to Christ, with his campmates being sort of like the apostles.
The second time we watched, I really paid attention to what was going on and how they revered Luke for never giving up. There's a line where Luke goes into a church on his final escape attempt that really struck me in the heart.
"You made me this way, so tell me Old Man, where do I fit in? How's it all gonna end?"
I've always been a free-spirit and never really let labels stick to me. But, I never really fit in anywhere. I never felt accepted for who I am. Because of this, I let my voice fall to a whisper instead of a very enthusiastic yell. I've come up with a thousand different ways to make a million dollars and implemented absolutely none of them because I was afraid of how my family would react to my interest in all things related to sex. Since watching CHL, I have submitted one piece to Eden Lit and started photographing some of my review items for my adult blog. I plan to get actual fun to read stuff in there very soon. And I've started using my real name on my Eden profile. It's a small step, but definitely in the right direction.

You are inspiring. I have thought the same way, even purchased web sites and gave up due to ignorance. Thank you.

Schindler's List. It's a lesson in humanity.

All the Star wars movies made a huge impact on my life. So did, I dreamed of Africa. It was about a woman who had a car accident and she decides to move to Africa and live her dreams. I watched that movie two days before I had a serious car accident. It made me do a lot of thinking.

Good Will Hunting was another movie which impacted my life. I made the decision to quit college days after I saw it.
