Just wondering...
What genres do you look for mostly for a pleasant reading experience?

My first choice would be erotica, either lesbian, or something with a male and female couple where the female is dominant.

It's not so much genre that guarantees a quality experience, but quality writing.

I gravitate to erotica & especially erotic romance with all the different sub-genres that fall under it. I find that if there is a romantic relationship throughout the story, that it's more interesting for me, (and course, the more explicit the sex, the better).

sci fiction. Love the stuff! or period piece dramas!

Classics. I pick from "best classic literature" lists all the time. If it's newer, I like horror or drama.

Fantasy is my first choice. I don't really get into young adult novels or the whole vampire genre craze that's going on but hand me a mercedes lackey novel and I'll sit for hours reading. Some mystery are okay but most of them make for boring reads.

I like sci fiction and romance. Also thriller.

Science fiction is always a great read, and I also like to read YA novels with queer couples involved somehow.

Fiction, mostly. Well, fiction entirely, but realistic fiction mostly.
