For those who watched NBC's premier of REVOLUTION.....would YOU be one of the few survivors?

The power is out. Nothing we take for granted exists. Not a flashlight, not a phone, not a car, not a TV or Computer. Refrigerators, processed or even cooled food are a memory. NO modern medicines exist...not so much as a band-aid.

Would YOU be dead in a few days, or weeks, or would you, somehow, be a survivor?

I think I'll survive without the amenities you've mentioned, and I won't die of starvation since food source is still available. The only thing that worries me is what am I going to do when my period comes and feminine pads aren't available anymore...me and my OCD!

I've not seen this show, so I can't answer explicitly. However, it seems to me that the option of being a survivor or not would not be up to the person, solely, so asking 'will you be a survivor?' is rather pointless. 'Do you hope to survive?' or 'do you want to survive?' would be more appropriate questions. Though, again, those questions are rather irrelevant. Save for those with suicidal thoughts, or perhaps depression, all would answer yes. Perhaps the best question would be, 'do you think you'd survive on your current skill set? (barring outside intervention)'.

Good point. I think not many in our day and age possess the needed set of skills to survive in a middle ages level of technology, even if they have the "will" to.

Mr. Bignuf just added that of all people YOU need to watch this show (NBC Monday Nights). YOU would probably enjoy it. Great food for thought.

I don't think I would notice. I would be like "Oh...the lights burned out...oh well." And then a few days later after noticing no one has showed up for work, I would just sit and drink some gin and say "Hmmm?" a lot.
