I am a classic rock fan in general, but so many types of music. However...you said favorite...so...I'll need to refrain myself. I happen to have TWO MOST FAVES. They are The DOORS, and The Grateful Dead.
Two of my favorite bands right now are Blue October and Rise Against. Justin Furstenfeld from Blue October has an amazing voice that conveys every bit of emotion he puts into his songs. One of my favorite Rise Against songs is Make It Stop(September's Children). It's definitely a song I think everyone should really listen to, mainly for the message.
It's hard to choose just one at the moment my favorite band is Candlebox. My favorite singer is Dax riggs though, I love the range of his voice and the emotion he can put into his music.
Mae and Styx are probably tied for my favorites, with Rush being a very close third.
