Contributor: sunflower sunflower
I hope there are some Whovians here. Your favorite villain and why?
I'm only including popular ones featured in the reboot in the poll. Of course there are hundreds more that I didn't mention so feel free to comment with those.

The Master, if I have to stick to the list. But whatever was on "Midnight" was scary; not for what it really did, but for what it could do.

I haven't been able to see the episodes with the new companion (have to wait for netflix. Boo.) but of what I've seen the Angels are the scariest to me. More scary than plunger-carrying octopuses (octopi?), although they admittedly can do more damage.

I agree. That was a good episode. The fact that it was left with no explanation makes it even worse. The fridge brilliance page at tvtropes has a few thought provoking comments on the episode.(cntrl+f and search for 'Midnight')

Oods are just good guys who lashed out because they were abused. I would too if I was made into a slave and had my brain cut out and stuff. They're not villains at all, they were just a product of their situation and once they were freed they became very peaceful and good. I love the Oods as well.

I liked all the Sherlock Holmes references in the Snowmen episode. I also liked the idea of the villain being a material projection of his own mentality. Those kinds of episodes are fun and make you think about stuff. I wouldn't count The Great Intelligence as my favorite though. It's been a while since I watched it though and I don't remember the episode too clearly. I remember being so excited when I finally got a chance to watch the new episodes!

I love the Daleks! Everytime I see one in an episode I get really giddy and happy. I can't help it! They're so awesome!

The Weeping Angels rank very high up there for me. I even have a "Don't Blink" t-shirt that I wear to our nerdy Dr. Who parties here. After the Angels, I'd agree - whatever that was in "Midnight" along with "The Silence". What got me about the Silence is that you forget them when you look away, so you look down and your arm has 40,000 tally marks on it. THAT freaked me out!

I appreciate the more psychologically scary villains on Dr. Who. (Especially the Moffat ones. )

There are so many good ones! But I love the Weeping Angels. I also love the Vashta Nerada. And yes, whatever was on Midnight was creepy as all get out.
