I'm still stuck on regular DVD's and really don't think I'll switch over to Blueray anytime soon. Seems like a hassle to me. Lol. How about you?
Do you watch Blueray Discs or Regular DVDs?

Regular DVDs only

I haven't made the investment in a blu-ray player yet. At this point, everything's going to be online in three to five years anyway so what's the point?

Regular DVDs - we don't have a Blueray player!
06/06/2012
I usually watch regular DVDs.

I've never noticed a different with blue ray
06/06/2012
We only have regular DVD players and they're good enough for now. We don't want to spend money on Blu-ray because technology changes happen all the time, who knows what will show up in the near future?

I don't have a BluRay player, but I also don't care. A movie is still a movie either way.

Usually I just go with DVD but if someone sends me a blu-ray file to watch on my laptop then usually I'm fine with it.

Can't be bothered to invest in Blu Ray. They have this new ultraviolet crap as well.

We have both, but it really depends on what you're watching. There are some things that look spectacular in HD, and should (e.g. National Geographic footage). Other things, like some older movies or TV shows, don't really benefit.
More than likely Blu-ray and DVD's will fade as most things move toward online streaming or file downloading. It saves the studios TONS of money on duplication, packaging, and shipping, and they only have to produce one good copy.
Fun tech note: Blu-rays and DVD's are not the same - Blu-ray is an entirely different format. Just like CD's are not DVD's.

While I watch regular DVD's, I have heard that BlueRay will be replaced by a new technology (something called G4). I forgot what it is called, but I will NOT buy any BlueRay DVD's until the next generation comes out!

W/we use DVDs only, the technology is still around, won't change completely for many years to come, and as long as you have a compatible player and enough movies and shows on DVDs there is no problem.

Exactly, I never went into some new technology only because it was new or everybody did it or what not... As long as something works good enough for me then I stay with it, and get to something new only if it is REALLY better for what I want it to be better... ^^

regular dvds for me too!
06/07/2012
Even have a decent collection of HD-DVDs still.
06/07/2012
We watch both.
06/07/2012
Neither, I'm a Netflix girl!
06/07/2012
Just regular for me
06/07/2012
Blu-ray is too much.
06/08/2012
We watch both, but nowadays we're buying exclusively Blu-Ray. The picture quality is by-far superior (it's gotten to the point where regular DVDs will actually give me a head ache), and the few extra dollars are worth it. We don't plan on upgrading ALL of our movies, but there are certain ones that we just can't pass up.
06/08/2012
Blu-Rays are just a little to expensive to make the switch over.
06/08/2012
just regular i like cheap
06/09/2012
since blu-ray is getting cheaper I'm slowly switching my collection over because I know eventually it's going to be hard to get good old fashioned DVDs
06/09/2012
If I ever get a Playstation 3 I'll switch to Blu-ray. Right now though, we still buy DVDs, and if I want to watch something in HD, I'll stream it through Amazon.

Regular Dvd's I don't own a blue ray player yet.
