I don't like to read books

I mostly read young adult fiction and plays. I am finding it very hard to find good adult fiction that I can read all the way through.

Yes

Yes. My youngest sister's school actually had a book fair a couple years ago. My younger sister and I were the only ones of us three that went. When we got there, the lady ringing us up asked our mom which one of us was the student. "Um.. actually, neither. The student refused to come here." They weren't quite sure what to do after that.

I love young adult books, the plots and characters seem more realistic than in "adult" books and the authors are more connected to their readers. I was just wondering if anyone else feels this way or if it's just me...

I'd agree...but since the question seemed geared towards stuff like Harry Potter and twilight, I'd say no.

Yes. They're so much less pretentious a lot of the time and actually try to be interesting.
I only read "adult" fiction if it is genre fiction like sci-fi.

I read both young adult and adult books, I like to read books I loved as a child sometimes for the nostalgia. =)
Someday when I have kids I plan on reading them all my old favorites.

Harry Potter and R.L. Stine

I like them as well.

I'll usually just read any book that I think looks good no matter what age group it's for.

I think quite a bit of YA is underrated, and the distinction between "adult" and "not adult" literature makes me sad sometimes because it discourages people from reading amazing stories just because they're not packaged as "sophisticated" enough.

Love YA books. Mostly that's what I read.
10/30/2012
I like any book, regardless of genre, as long as the plot is good

I mainly read adult books but if I hear good things about a YA book I'll usually be curious enough to read it.
