I like when my wife reads it, definitely gets her going!

Do you like to read erotic stories?
09/17/2014
Yep, however it's mainly fanfiction of characters I ship. There are a few good book series' though! 'Traditional' erotica - no, thank you, though.
09/18/2014
Definitely. 50 shades got me started, but now I've moved on to other things.
09/23/2014
Yes, if done well. By "done well" I mean I don't like toooo much plot. Like I'm obviously reading it for the sex, not the background of each character, the complexities of their interactions, etc.
If the story is too long, I try skipping to the sex. If I can't find it while skimming I move on to something new
I prefer it in the form of fan fiction or flash fiction I guess, and not original work.

I enjoy reading it sometimes. I like to use literotica.com because I tend not to want to read a ton of back story- just want to get to the good parts! And I like variety!

I need to get back into reading erotic stories, it's something that I really used to enjoy. For some reason or another, I just kind of stopped. My favorite thing was reading stories throughout the day and getting so turned on. It really primed me up for sex.

Sometimes when I get tired of watching TV, I'll turn to reading erotica; helps me go to sleep at nights

Reading some of the reviews are like reading erotica to some.

Here is some other ones lol I cut and pasted this from a blog entry I did last November about sex reviewers being unable to use terms like penis and vagina. These are actual terms/words that I have seen in either a review for a sex toy or on blogs involving erotica and sex in general. These were serious blogs, not in anyway meant to be comedic. Hope these make you laugh also.
lady/male bits
tender bits
nub

I love reading erotica. It's my bed time fluff It's just a way to escape from all of the nagging and hectic BS from the day. Plus, if it's hot enough it's a good warm up for a sexcapade with the husband!!! Mmmm hmmm yummy
Kresley Cole is a great author that I'm enjoying right now.

I definitely love reading erotica, but I've found that fan-produced material is often times much more enjoyable than actual published works. It's easier to find odd interests/kinks- stuff that's enjoyable. And all in all- it's simply just easy to find! Gotta love those fanfics.

I'm a lit snob, so if it's not well-written or has grammatical errors, erotica can actually be a turnoff for me.

Would you share your thoughts on 50 Shades? You know, from a "lit snob" perspective.

I don't like things with a lot of spelling or grammatical errors either. That's what spell check and editors are for.

I enjoy reading. Not just erotica. So if someone can provoke emotions within me with just words alone, it can be a big turn on. I like unique erotica (like Anne Rice's Sleeping Beauty Trilogy). But Anne Rice is a great author anyway. I think the most nonerotic thing I have read recently that makes me feel very sexual would be this:
“When you dip her in the middle of the dance floor, it is the color of her dress. When she whispers in your ear, it is the color of her lips. When you make love, it is the trace you want her to leave all over your body. When she places her palm over your heart, it is the color that comes to the surface as her fingertips trail like a sentence that can never be finished. When you see her in the bedroom with another, it is the color of your breath. When you smash the vase in the hall, it is the color that threatens you to abandon the shattered pieces. When you scream at the top of your lungs, it is the color that pierces the atmosphere. When she hears you, it is the color of her pulse. When you look in her eyes for the last time, it is the fading color of your heart falling to your knees. It is not the color you see when she leaves.”
— Describing the color red without using the word ‘red’, by Tyler Ford
I swear to you, every fucking time I read that...

As PolyLove I like stories written by Anne Rice
BTW, what do you think about 50 Shades?

I prefer writing my own, but when the mood takes me I enjoy a good read. Fanfiction is my favorite type.
