I voted Nook before I saw there was a real book option...I almost never use my Nook. I prefer actual books.
Do you read books?
08/02/2012
I prefer the real thing.

I like the smell and feel of having a book in my hand when I'm reading.

I love regular books. The smell smell and feel of them. I wouldn't say no if someone bought me a kindle, though.

It depends. I have a Kindle, but I also like regular books.

I am really against reading on the computer, or any kind of electronic device. I think it's good that the technology exists and I feel bad about the trees that get cut down for the paper, but I really don't think there is a comparable way to read than feeling pages under my fingers.

LOVE my Kindle Fire! I didn't think I'd get used to the whole not having a book in hand, but now I much prefer Kindle versions over a book. I can simply prop my Kindle up and read at any time like while ironing my hair, while in the passengar seat, dark, etc. A book requires hands to hold it open at all times usually. I can even snuggle up under the covers and read before bed on my Kindle, only peeking one finger out to slide to the next page. Much better. PLus it saves lots of space!

Oh yea, now there are some books I LOVE having in real life. My Kurt Cobain journals are a must in real book form. I would never purchase one of Kurt's journals for Kindle! I like seeing it, his own handwriting in real size, not smashed up in print on a kindle. In those few cases, a real book is always best for me. I also love that Kurt's journals were published in a large hard back that way they stay open and are large enough for me to read his wild hand writing.
The bible. That's another one I'll only read in real book form. Possibly more, but mostly just the books I cherish most.

I love regular hardcover books

I love my kindle. My husband got it for me for Christmas last year and i don't go anywhere without it. I like to read and read fairly quickly so it makes getting books and storing them super easy.

I love to read books.

For now I mostly read real paper books, except when I get one on my phone (for example when the digital version is significantly cheaper). I want to get a Kindle Fire though.

I like plain old books! But I really enjoyed reading magazines on my friend's ipad once.

I have a Nook Tablet, but I only really read unpublished online stories from anonymous writers, aka fanfiction, on it and I still buy books. I have four or five I need to read actually.
But I do hate this whole, if you read on an ereader you're lesser than I because I read a REAL book. thing. It's ridiculous and makes you look like an ass.

Most of the time I read regular books. I did just discover that I could get books on my I-Pod though, so now I'll download a few books there. I love it, because I can keep it right in my pocket and pull it out during quiet minutes at work.

prefer paper books

Mostly physical books, but sometimes PDF's and such, depending on the length and topic. I don't own a Nook or Kindle yet.

I plan to get a kindle soon.

I don't have any kind of ereader... and I'm not sure I'd like reading on one. I prefer real books and paper.

Just paper books, I wouldn't mind trying an e-reader but it seems like a big investment.
