Who will the Doctor regenerate into next???

Now if only I had a time travelling box that could take me ahead to watch the 50th anniversary show in November and bring me back, I would let you all know who is replacing him!

Any thoughts of who you would like to see as the next Doctor?

He won't regenerate in the 50th Anniversary Special, but instead the Christmas Special. However, BBC has indicated that the announcement of who the 12th Doctor will be might be coming as soon as next month. Names that have been topping the list of rumors include Ben Daniels, Zawe Ashton, Russell Tovey, and Chiwetel Ejiofor. Plus, Wil Wheaton claims he already knows the new Doctor's identity, though I'm not sure if he's telling the truth

Yes. And I only know because my friend and her husband are fans. I for one don't care. I don't watch it. I don't find it that good.

@Zawe Ashton - I really want a woman Doctor but I don't want Moffat writing for the woman Doctor. You feel me?

Idk who I want. I like the list so far and I'd probably be happy with any of them. I like Russell Tovey. And Chiwetel Ejiofor. It would be funny if Russel got it because he was Alonso in the Christmas special and if he gets it, there had better be some references to allons-y. They reuse actresses and actors who were bit characters turned into lookalike companions all the time. Ex: Marthas "cousin" who worked at Torchwood.... Both played by the same actress, Karen Gillan was in The Fires of Pomeii, etc.

I'd like to see someone a little older, maybe in their late thirties or forties playing the next Doctor. But I understand that might not happen as Then they might loose a lot of the American ratings that they've recently gotten.

But in any case, I was sad to hear that Matt Smith is leaving The Who World. I really enjoyed him as the Doctor.

Yeah I can picture it now... A reality tv series "The next Doctor" . That would so be rubbish. But for some strange reason I can picture them doing it to spin a profit.

Matt Smith has always kinda bugged me as the Doctor. He's ok but not great. I much prefer the 10th and 9th Doctors.

I know what you mean about not digging Moffat writing a female doctor. With any luck Moffat will focus on Sherlock or another project and someone else will take over as showrunner.
