Cult classic movies - what's your favorite, or favorites? Mine is RHPS - I actually dated a guy for a while that performed as Eddie in one of the local stage casts, and it's still frequently shown near me. A close second would be the Clerks movies, especially since they're based in Jersey.

Did RHPS from 93(?) to 98. Thinking about auditioning for the Halloween show at the local playhouse this year (playing the last three weekends in October).
'Plan Nine from Outer Space' - it's an experience. The bits of stock footage of Bela Lugosi displayed that he still got 'it' up to his death. And it's funny as hell to see Tor Johnson struggling through lines (and sets), and Bunny Beckinridge being Emperor (or Queen) of the Galaxy. Not to mention Criswell's straight up introduction while being incredibly drunk. Classic.
'Manos: Hands of Fate' - the making of stories around it are better than the movie. The eternal brides wearing girdles under their sheer gowns, the giant hand-print caftan of the cult leader, the attempt at giving Torgo satyr-knees (which only look knobby). The only person who got paid for that shame-fest was the killer doberman (he got paid in a 50-pound bag of dog food). Should be included in film-making courses on how NOT to make a movie.
Should I really go on ... ?

Donnie Darko is magical.
A contemporary cult classic, for me, is Troll 2.

Totally love Donnie Darko, although I think I'm the only person who finds it incredibly sad.
Some of my favorite Cult Classics are Repo Man, Evil Dead, Motel Hell, and Squirm.

I love RHPS and Clue!
Another one that I think might have hit cult status, although I could be completely wrong on this one, is The Nightmare Before Christmas. If so, then I add it to my list of favorites, lol

I love Clue too!
Not sure if they're cult classics, but I also like Harold and Maude, A Clockwork Orange, and Young Frankenstein.

I'm realizing most of my favorite movies are all cult classics (like the ones mentioned here). Either all my taste is in my mouth, or I am Geek Queen (or both).

Plan 9 is great as well as Bride of the Monster. I didn't realize Repo Man was a cult classic. I saw that when I was a kid.

How about Street Trash, Bad Taste, Zombie (or US release Zombi 2), C.H.U.D., Shakes the Clown, and Werewolves on Wheels?

Just saw Plan Nine a few weeks ago and I thought it was hilarious. Is Suspiria a cult classic?

(If so then that's pretty much my jam.)

There are a bunch here I'm not even familiar with, and I'm usually pretty well versed in this kind of thing...looks like its time to restart that netflix subscription!
