This week I got a new laptop and it includes a blue ray player. My question is simple, what Blu-Rays would you recommend to really show off the benefits of Blu-Ray? I’m opening to most anything as long as it is a good showcase for my new toy. In case you didn’t read the title this is for non-adult titles only. I already made a thread for adult titles only: link )

Honestly you have to becareful. Some movies look horrible on bluray, like the harry potter movies which i love. But ill avoid thrm on bluray after i seen one playing.
Guierrmo del toro movies look great. Disney movies like tron legacy, looks flawless. Alot of the big superhero comicbook movies look awesome.
If your into documentaries i highly recommend planet earth for bluray. Its stunning.

I agree with Starkiller87, most disney movies I've seen look amazing. I watched beauty and the beast recently and I was thinking they re-made it instead of remastered it. I also recommend Tangled and How to Train your Dragon. Most 3d movies show it the clearest and I think True Blood looks pretty good in blu-ray as well.

The most shocking one for me was the Rocky Horror Picture Show, it was made in 1975 but looks pretty damn good on blu-ray. Crisp for a movie of its age.
