I think Planet of the Apes is my favorite, although I do have a fondness for Soylent Green . The Omega Man I didn't care for, as I LOVE the book it's based on, and this is not a good adaptation (neither is Will Smith's version, for that matter). Even though I adore Charlton Heston, he doesn't save it.

When I was young, we allpiled up in the car to go to the drive-in. We saw ALL the planet of the apes movies and I liked them; but Soylent Green has stuck in my mind for all these years. It is a favorite.

Check out the one with Vincent Price - it's closer to the book than the others.

I never cared for Charleton Heston, so I don't have an opinion on his movies.

"Get your stinking paws off me, you damn dirty ape!"

"It's a madhouse! A MADHOUSE!"

Although the Ape movies are good, Soylent Green seems to me to be the one that is most likely to come true some time in the near future.

Perhaps, but for some reason I just didn't like that movie. I liked the Apes one, best.

The APE's thing became a whole genre of films, still being made and making money. Amazing.

I haven't seen Omega man, I guess I should probably rent it. Planet of the Apes is definitely in my top 5 of favorite movies ever. I thought Soylent Green was okay, but it's not one of my favorites.
