Does anyone believe in Aliens? Is it possible that ppl really do see UFO's?
Or are the UFO's a gov. program that they are covering up? What do you think?

I have seen things in the sky that i can't explain. That's about it. I know that area 51 is not a joke. That's all I can say!

It's probable there are aliens. It's a pretty big universe, after all. But whether or not they're coming here? I don't know. I mean, I've seen things that I can't explain, too, but my mind doesn't go automatically to 'aliens!'.

It seems likely that there could be other life somewhere in the universe. I don't think there are aliens visiting Earth or anything like that, but perhaps they are somewhere out there....

I don't know. I guess there could be aliens but I agree with previous posters that they don't come to Earth.

I'm open but skeptical. Life elsewhere does seem like a statistical likelihood - but taking the leap to a technological civilization, that's a more problematic equation.

If they are out there, I'm not so sure we should be inviting them here - we have more than enough problems to deal with now!

We are a tiny little planet in retrospect. It is seemingly improbable that we are the only intelligent race out there. Do I think aliens are just chilling visiting Earth, probably not. Not because it is impossible but because we have nothing to offer them yet. But the whole area 51 thing I think might be technology we picked up somewhere that is being worked on. Not ness. a crashed ship but something. The government doesnt tell you about their latest fancy gadgets till 10 20 years later. Like with the Seal 6 thing, that helicopter was way advanced but no one talked about it till 10 years later when they decided to use it publicly. I think a lot of that kind of stuff happens there.

I think there are. I can not honestly believe that we are the only intelligent life out there. Not sure about people who say they have been kidnapped by aliens or have seen them. Maybe these people were just on some acid trips or having hallucinations. Who knows what there really is, maybe there really are little green men who kidnap people to anal probe them.

I have an answer for this actually. There is this sleep disorder where you become paralyzed just for a few minutes, and it almost every single case there has been reports of bugs or "aliens" being seen. Have you ever woke up from a nap and swore you saw a huuuge spider on the wall? There is something in the brain that makes peoples mind register things that arent there from the time they wake up and actually wake up up. It really is only a thing with some people not everyone. But they think it is why people believe they have aliens visit them at night.

I see bugs on the walls, I dont get paralyzed but I see the bugs and swing my arms at my boyfriend cause it freaks me out and I jump. But after a few seconds my eyes and mind adjust and they are gone. Ive read about this sooo many times with many people having this. It is very weird to say the least but there are your little green visitors for you.

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who shares the opinion that there's no way we are the only intelligent life in the universe. With how vast the universe is and how tiny we, as a planet, are in comparison? I firmly believe that just based on pure chance, there's no way there isn't intelligent life elsewhere. It may not be carbon based, it may not resemble us in any way, shape, or form, but I do believe it exists. Whether or not it routinely visits us? I'm a little on the fence about that one. But I do believe it's out there nonetheless.

I don't believe they are they way the entertainment industry portrays them, but I do think with all the infinite space, there HAS to be some other living beings on some other planet.

I'm with a lot of other people, there HAS to be something else out there, but I have never seen any sign of them.

There is absolutely no way in this big ass universe with so many galaxies that we can not even begin to explore that we are the only intelligent life forms. And yes there are aliens. We're "aliens" as far as the other "aliens" are concerned.

I don't think we can completely rule out the existence of life in other parts of the universe. However, I am skeptical of those who claim to have had alien encounters, and I do not believe there is some massive government conspiracy to hide aliens. I tend to agree with what Starkiller87 is saying about the government and technology. For example, the Roswell incident happened during the Cold War. The "craft" that crashed may have been a spy plane that the government was testing to spy on the Soviets or something like that. I imagine the government and military work on all types of weapons and vehicle projects, and secrecy is a matter of national security.

I think it's interesting when people use the billions-and-billions theory. Using this theory to suggest something exists, can be looked as 'faith' - something that is normally associated with religion.

When people believe in a God - they are perceived to have faith in something they can never actually see.

In some ways scientists practice a 'religion' because the espouse many things that can never be seen or proven.

Sorry - I didn't mean to hijack you entry, I'm sure you didn't mean your comment in a religious way. I just find the billions-and-billions theory so interesting ever since Carl Sagan introduced it 20-30 years ago.

I believe there is life in other galaxies. I am really hoping that there is an intelligent species out there somewhere. There definitely isn't enough intelligent ones on Earth.

In addition, I doubt that there will ever be an alien invasion. If they exist and if they attack, it will be because we somehow pissed them off. There is nothing on this planet that aliens would want to steal, at least not now. If some other species had the capabilities to communicate to us and then travel to us, they will need nothing from us because they would have all the technology to synthesize whatever fuel or nutrients they need.

I know the invasion thing isn't the main focus, but I just wanted to add it because movies like Signs and Battle Los Angeles have stupid theories about what aliens might want from humans.

I think there might be aliens, but I don't think that aliens have come to visit us. I imagine it would be just as impractical and difficult for them to come see us as it wold be for us to go try and find them.

Statistically it's quite improbable that we're the only higher life forms in the universe. Especially considering the vastness of the universe. As for if those life forms would bother with our squabbling species? Doubtful. But who knows!

Sorry to hear your so jaded about life on earth. If there is intelligent carbon-based life elsewhere - there is plenty on earth worth taking.

As for conquering - you've got that wrong as well. The native Americans didn't do anything to 'piss off' Europeans. The Europeans just wanted the land so they took it.

If another species is smart enough to get here - and they want to conquer the earth, they could probably do so - because that what species do, they dominate their adversaries to the maximum extent possible. You know the Darwin thing...

I am going to say that If we can prove there are planets other than ours in our solar system and that there is no evidence that we are deffinatly alone we cant rule the possiblity out.
