Flowers.
They're all fairly cliche, but I wouldn't be opposed to chocolate, and I love stuffed animals.

I think that, if done with taste and in a creative way, any "cliche" gift could still make a great impression. Its all about presentation! I would definitely have to say that Flowers/roses are overdone though. Flowers die, and then you have a mess and stinky flowers to clean up. Personally, I tell my husband if he is going to get me flowers to get fake ones lol.
