Anyone done Times Square? A huge party somewhere? Top of the Eiffel Tower, or watching fireworks over Sydney Harbor....etc? We did watch fireworks and laser show at midnight over Niagara Falls and it was pretty darned spectacular.

NYE is for amatuer drinkers, we choose to stay in doors throughout the entire night in the safety and comfort of our home. I was SHOCKED to discover no one was shot and killed by celebratory gunfire this year as there are at least two cases every year.

South Korea and Ireland were two of my more exciting NYEs- and the SK NYE was interesting to me since I was 15 hours ahead of my state of residence. Exiting the year 15 hours earlier made it the shortest year of my life, as far as hours are concerned. I'm a nerd . Ireland was fun since I was not of age yet back in the States and it was fun to go out to the pubs and drink legally.

Last year I was in the Midwest and got my first NYE kiss- at age 24! Took me long enough. It felt good to scratch that off my to-do list.
