This is very interesting as I have never heard of oysters with Thanksgiving dressing. Would you mind sharing which state you're from? Is this something normal in your state? I'm from Texas and like I said, I've never heard of it.

The argument in our family is sage or no sage. I like with sage.

I love to eat oysters in many different ways - but I find having oysters in Thanksgiving dressing to be rather odd.

I've never had oysters in stuffing. I've heard of it, but never come across it. I'd try it, but I doubt the rest of my family would.

I don't like to mix my seafood with thanksgiving dinner.

I've never had oysters, and I've gotta say, they don't look appetizing to me.

I do not like oysters, so that would me a "no" for me! Also, I've never even heard of oysters in Thanksgiving dressing until now.

oysters are gross!

I have NO desire to try oysters, the look of them, the smell and what I've heard from friends are enough to make me not want them.

OMG I would LOVE to have real oyster dressing with my turkey but Sigel is violently allergic to anything that comes out of the ocean. He also loathes turkey so we rarely have it. ~sigh

Yup mine too! My Aunt faked an allergy to sage to get my grandmother to quit putting too much sage in her stuffing. I like a little but I like the herbs to blend and work well with the stuffing not overpower it.

One year my Dad was making a stuffing using a recipe in a cookbook and about halfway through adding the ingredients the wind turned the page while his back was turned. He ended up mixing two recipes together and we all agreed it was the best darn stuffing we'd ever had! That became the recipe we used every year after that. That was the first time I had had sultanas soaked in apple juice and added to stuffing...and it makes the stuffing light, flavorful and moist.

Love oyster dressing, prefer it to dressing without oysters, of course I love oysters or any kind of seafood!

I like oysters, but never had them in stuffing. Would give it a try, but my favorite is with chestnuts.

With out ! I don't eat dressing but I do make it and there will be no oysters in it!!!
