Most Romantic Valentine's Day Surprise ?

Contributor: Hallmar82 Hallmar82
I've bought a lot of Valentine's Day presents for my wife over the years, but sometimes it's hard to judge what she considers the most romantic. When I ask her, she always says something like "I love them all" which doesn't really help. What do YOU think is the most romantic gift you could receive?

I'd say if you two have a special song, play it or call it in to a radio station if you think she'll hear it and while it's playing maybe take the time to slowdance with her.

I'd prefer to be given something nerdy or have a lover cook me dinner and give me a massage/awesome sex.

A hand written message inside of a card. This has only happened to me once and it was given to me the other day.

Not cutting off all communication and being a coward - FWB's. Or making the holiday extra celibate - ex-husband.

(bitterdamnrightiam)

Being brave enough to face the holiday head-on is the most romantic thing I can think of.

Ah, yes, I forgot to include the home-cooked 7 course meal - which I also did. I made strawberry sorbet but not the bread. All of the above were things I've done for my wife.

My husband is a huge fan of going all out on Valentine's day. I am very lucky. We celebrated on Saturday and I was very happy to bring a box of Eden Goodies into the hotel room with us

Something that shows effort went into the gift. Writing a love letter, cooking a special meal, making a gift yourself or personalizing a keepsake, planning a special outing or night in.

Of the choices, erotic massage. However, only you can know which is the most creative and intimately romantic idea.

The MOST romantic thing he ever "got me" was a surprise ticket to New York with a weekend of THREE plays and THREE nice dining experiences. Yes...that is a BIT extravagant (we have done that ONCE in 32 years of marriage), but it was BY FAR a lot more amazing then all the chocolates and flowers ever. Even a pair of tickets to a local concert or play is way more romantic to me, even though I always also get flowers, candy, lingerie..etc.

An erotic massage without "expectations" on his part is also very romantic...even though he certainly does, then, "get some"..ha, ha.

ALL great ideas, and we BOTH agree....the MOST romantic shows PLANNING and THOUGHT. That proves your lover was on your mind. Even when we were "poor as church mice" one year, he made me a "FLOWER" out of 100 "free" lollipops from the office where he worked. I had it for years (till the lolli's rotted), and it was SUCH a romantic gift for the EFFORT he put into it.

Time alone together can also be spent taking a romantic walk on the beach or in a park, or a museum...etc. Makes it even MORE special.

My man got me a pet rabbit for valentines day after my first one passed away a few weeks before. That by far is better than flowers or chocolate!

I like going out to eat, because we don't get the opportunity very often and I always cook homemade meals so it's relaxing to get a break every now and then for v-day, birthday, anniversary.
