I've decided to begin an erotica/sex blog. I've chosen tumblr, which right of the bat I'm not sure is the best option (opinions greatly appreciated). I'm wondering if including personal erotic photos will help/hinder my ability to establish an audience.

I'm a bit on the shy side, so I'm still debating whether or not these photos would include my face or whether I'd keep them body specific. Also, I was going to reblog pictures I find appealing--> thoughts on this?

Tumblr is great, especially if you want to post NSFW pictures. They have a NSFW option so you can hide your blog from tag-searching so people won't accidentally stumble upon it but this hinders your ablility to get new followers from tag-searchers. I don't have mine marked even though I have NSFW pictures. Oh, well. But I've never had a problem with losing followers because of NSFW pictures and my blog is just a personal. You're just as likely to see a kitten on my blog as you are some lesbian sex. Lol. If it's an erotica/sex blog, I think you should be fine.
