These are my favorite toy review blogs, so I was curious if anyone else read them. I like that they both have a tumblr blog as well. (link and link) Are you a fan?
Do you read these sex toy review blogs?

I don't read either of these blogs. I'm going to look into them though.

I have not read these particular ones but there are a few that I check into every now and then (people who are reviewers here that I particularly like!)

I've never heard of either!

No, I just don't ever get interested in them. I love reading reviews here on EF, but I don't really get into the sex toy blogs. To be honest, I usually just end up thinking they all look so much alike. ;/

Now I have read Hey Epiphora. I remember reading on that page quite a bit a few years ago. When it comes to blogging though, I like other genres, so that's why I don't visit sex toy blogs.

I read Hey Epiphora on a semi-regular basis, but I've never heard of the other one.

never heard of 'em

There is usually a clear pattern in the toys they all like...usually it's the popular choices already so why not just read them off EF? I don't like sex toy blogs.
12/16/2012
I read both. Help promote fellow sex toy reviewers even if they are bloggers! They help other companies expand into sex toy reviewing. If you want the latest on sex toys before they are even stocked on EF...check the blogs. They are usually sent to favorite bloggers directly from the manufacturer and reviewed before stock is up on EF. Not to mention, you can find out where the best deal is on the price from checking out the blogs. Also, content on blogs aren't moderated except from the writer of the blog. Therefore, no one can tell them what content goes in a review. Unlike reviews written onsite.

The first part is not at all true. Check out the Sex Toy Society for the review directory. There are many toys all reviewed from tons of company's. The only items that popular with the review world are toys like Pure Wand.

Thank you for listing me! I'm flattered

I agree. Honestly, I'm kind of bored by the more popular stuff. If it's weird or different, I'll review it. If it's something I've seen a million times? Snore....

Nope, I don't really read any blogs, regardless of whether they're sex toy related or not.
12/16/2012
Neither.

These comments make me sad. I feel like more reviewers were also bloggers back in the day. Sad to see we're so irrelevant now

Yeah, that's not true at all. Sure, people will have preferences, but preferences among reviewers are not all the same. See what others have mentioned as reasoning to read reviews from blogs.

I'm a huge fan of Hey Epiphora. I love that her reviews balance a fantastic sense of humor with an encyclopedic knowledge of all things sex-toys.
Plus I always feel like I'm getting an honest review. If she doesn't like a toy, she'll say so. She isn't going to sugar-coat things because that's what she thinks her readers want. We want honesty, and that's what we get.

Sad to see that folk think we're all the same. It seems rather apropos that someone brought up the Pure Wand- a toy that many reviewers rave about, and which I hate. Was I intimidated a bit to publish a review disliking such a popular toy? Of course! But I published nonetheless.
I suspect that some folk feel review blogs are similar because they often review similar product, namely body-safe product. Unfortunately, since the sex toy industry is still unregulated, a vast majority of the product on the market is simply not safe for our bodies and our health. It stands to reason that folk who blog and review as a hobby or for a living would want to bring awareness to this, and use toys that aren't going to put their health at risk.
