I was just thinking about my next EF-related blog post, and was thinking about using some of my EdenPoints to do a mini giveaway for a $5 gift card. I'm thinking hey, every little bit helps when you're placing an order, but I'm wondering if some people would find giving away such a small amount weird or offensive. What do you think?
How would you feel about a $5 giveaway?

Extra love to anyone who gets the Futurama reference in the poll, by the way.

I like free things.

Anyhow, I think you should do what you feel is good. Five dollars is five dollars, either way.

Holy crap! I will dumpster dive for a five dollar off coupon I have tossed by accident; so hell yes, a $5 giveaway is great in my book. It will pay for shipping, if nothing else!

Ha, yes. I can't resist quoting that line on a regular basis.

Every bit does help! I think it is a great idea

Free stuff is never offensive.

Glad to see everyone is for it so far! I was worried that since most gift card giveaways are for $50 (or at least $25/$30) people would see a $5 one and just think it was too cheap. Looks like I have a plan for my next EF post!

Every little bit helps!

That would be awesome! Every penny towards a purchase counts and free is never a bad thing.

Every little bit helps when I am placing an order $5 is enough to almost cover shipping and that is great!
03/14/2011
No complaints with free money!
03/14/2011
Don't look a gift horse in the mouth! Anyone who thinks a 5 dollar gift card is beneath them is ungrateful.
03/14/2011
If they gave out these to random orders then everybody would be happy. People would order more while the give away was going on just so they might win one.

Something is always better than nothing!

Everyone likes free. Go for it!
03/14/2011
Well, since that $5 could buy/just about buy lube or condoms or a finger vibe or nipple teasers I think it would be nice

Also, $5 is enough to cover most of the shipping for a purchase being made in the United States. The only thing I might change about it at all would be to make the gift card the same amount as the shipping (I think $5.99), but other than that, rock on with your awesome little giveaway

any amount is good. even 5$ is useful. theres a product i wanted bad but was 5$ short thank god for my eden points.. they saved me that 5$..

Free is free!!!

Thanks to the landslide vote for yes, I went with doing the giveaway! My blog post was a feature on fun little items you can find on EF for $5 or less, so I think it was a good fit.

that's a sweet gesture, free is happily free.

Can't loose with free things.
Unless they're free things that bite.
