how many are left that remember the days of "EF community"? I find the forums to be so empty these days. I so miss all the familiar names. what about you? do you remember all those members?

I do. I don't check in as often as I used to because there's not anything new posted. All the old conversations I've either already commented on or weren't interested in being a part of. On today as I wanted to get a review done and can't do that.

We are new members joined about 6 months ago. From reading a lot of the older posts, comments and reviews, it's apparent at one time Eden was a hopping exciting place. Of course it's hard come up with new ideas when some much already has been discussed. If the older members were to repeat things, I don't think it would bother us newer ones. As a matter of fact, would serve to help create further discussion. It would be new to us. I also think it helps if new members posted their profiles. When someone asks questions I check their profile to see what they are about.

Yes and no. I still hang out with most of them on Twitter and other sites, so I only miss their participation in the EF forums.

At least the men vs women threads are quiet now.

Instead of focusing on the past, how about we all work together to create something that's even better than what existed before?
Be the change you wish to see...
I know, I for one, do not miss the snarcasm and bullying that used to take place on an almost daily basis.

reflecting back over the year of 2013, all the EF members & friends I've made during the year have added something to my EF experience I would not otherwise have experienced. it's good to reflect on the past now & then, to see where I/we've come from & where I'm/we are headed.

I never saw any bullying when I was really active on here. I really don't even know where it was coming from. What I saw a lot of was trolls with fake profiles that just wanted to post pervy things on the forums.

I miss leaving the forum for a few hours and coming back to TONS of notifications.
However, I want to see what's new going on here since I've been gone the last 7 months.

I don't miss the gazillions of point farmers. It's a lot quieter now, yeah, but honestly I don't miss how it was.

Where are "we" headed? This is a fun blog site, attached to a super adult toy store. Awesome indeed, but I don't see a "direction" for the future. Am I missing something here?

I am super said, about this I was just starting to become a big lover of this community and not a total newbie when this place almost derailed. Now I am coming around a lot again, seeing a little more activity and some of the programs starting back up. I really hope this place does a complete 180 and becomes a big active community again....

Edeneve is referring to about 6 to 9 months ago when people could still use 100% of their points for an order, get multiple free assignments, plus buyouts all at once. It wasn't sustainable and we will likely never have a program as generous as that in the future, but there is leeway for other fun things with nominal gift card prizes or toys.
If we want those things back, there needs to be more participation site-wide.

We've already done a 180, if we do another it will be a 360 and we'll be right back where we were when things got out of hand. However, there is always a middle ground. I have some pretty good ideas for interesting things and I'd love to do them.

I had always worried that using all of my points and getting all those free assignments was... too greedy. I mean, I was SUPER thankful for that option, but I also kind of felt like I was taking too much advantage of the system. I think the way it is now is better for both user and company. I can imagine giving away all of those free items hurt the bottom line in the end.

Thanks! I'm glad to be back as well. I think we can make things better than they were before. I think we can make it a more structured environment whereas before it became a little volatile and less reliable. I think I like how it is now? It's taking some getting used to since I was in the previous setup for so many years, but I am still here and haven't given up, so I think this is a GREAT thing.

Although the forum reached its peak of activity in 2012, it seemed more active before points even started than it is now.

The two are directly related -- the forum was an easy way to earn points if you needed a little extra for an order. When that stopped, participation also dropped.
