I'd love to talk to more queer folks on here. Tell me a little about yourselves!

I am! I probably won't be staying up dramatically later, but I visit this site almost every day to earn points, so I'm around quite a bit. I'm a butch genderqueer trans* boi and a rising sophomore at a small private liberal arts college, where I study Environmental Justice. I'm in a polyamorous triad relationship with a very musical and politically aware bigender femme Latin@ and a lovely Texan femme lady who we are currently long-distance with due to her spending a few months back in her home state. I play in a street band, write lots of ukulele songs, and enjoy cooking vegetarian food. My life is hectic in a fun way.
That's probably more than a little bit about myself, haha. XD

Also, I think you sent me a private message a few days ago, I'm happy to be interviewed for the project you were talking about.

Yes, I did! I'm sort of putting my personal projects on hold right now because school is starting soon, but I'll get back to you with those questions. Thanks for reminding me!

Same here - it's probably safe to say I'm addicted. I am also at a small private liberal arts college. I'm a religious studies major. I live in the southeast now but I hope to be moving out west in the near-ish future. One of the master's programs I'm looking at is in Berkeley.

I love my uke - it was a 17th birthday present, and I bring it with me most places. It's so portable and great for spontaneous music. Mandolin is actually an instrument I've considered picking up, but I've never followed through on that. How did you decide to start playing it?

I bought my mandolin as an 18th birthday present to myself. I've been a camp counselor for years, and one of my campers had brought her mandolin to camp with her that summer. I spent a lot of time messing around with it, and fell in love. Mandolins are tuned the same as violins, which I've been playing for ten years, so it was easy to catch on.

Oh cool! That sounds like a fun way to pick up an instrument. Also, thanks for the likes and reblogs on tumblr. =)
