I applied for a job before social security updated my info in their system so my boss has seen my (male) license, but also that I got my name changed and what it was before. Now I have to take a paper from social security with me which says 'genser: f' on it as this is the paper saying I applied for the card and had my name changed.
They still seem keen on hiring me but I am a little worried about other employees finding out my trans status or my boss using incorrect pronouns.
Today I plan to say 'i know my id and stuff is kind of out of order while I get everything updated, but I go by what is on my license only'. Do you think this will make things so they go smoothly? My boss took everything in stride at the two interviews and I just wanna be sure we aee clear on the pronouns but I would rather not come out and say I am trans or draw attention to the gender issue if I can help it. Btw its a corporation so theoretically they will abide by nondiscrimination but you never know.
