I'm looking to buy a packer for when I do cosplay as a guy and was wondering if anyone who has had a packer can give me some advise for when I'm wearing it as it will be my first one ^ ^

As a long-time cosplayer, I think packing usually backfires and is unnecessary. I've had this conversation a lot on cosplay forums, and 99% of the time it's just not going to look right or be worth the bother. I would go into it, but I don't want to spam the forum with a novel.
But if you want to, the Mr Limpies are nice and they're cheap. Small or Extra small.
Or a sock. Or put the packer in a sock and pin it to your underwear if that's heavy-duty enough so it doesn't move about too much.

If you head over to my profile I wrote up a review of Mr. Right. I still have another packer I need to write a review for but haven't gotten around to it yet.
If it's just for a one-time cosplay I suggest starting with a cheaper packer like Mr. Limpy and going the route of using two pairs of briefs to hold it in place. If you need help with packing it properly just shoot me a message. You also don't want a huge packer as it'll look unrealistic so go small.

I run around 5 days out of the week in cosplay or at photo shoots and I kind of need it for some of the more fetish photography. I have a home made rig mad of crafting foam but the photo shoots coming up are going to be much more up close and personal. Short skirts and cute panties are going to be the only thing between me and the camera so it needs to look kinda real ^ ^ otherwise I'd stick with what I have already ^ ^

Thanks so much hun ^ ^ the "just for looks" foam one I have right now is alright but not good for long term use since it gets very warm against my leg and when I wear tight clothing it can kind of get smoosh lines ^ ^ plus I wear my binder and tg clothes most of the time and would like to make a habit of it ^///^

I've heard that the Mr. Right is a better packer over-all, but it's more expensive, so it depends on how much use it will see. The Mr. Limpies aren't known to be particularly durable and require dusting with cornstarch, I think.
If you want it to stay in place, you can try fashion tape if there's no hair in the way, or make a strap/s out of elastic lace (I find the lace, especially if nude, shows much less than thick regular elastic). Or a holder and conceal safety pins.

The Mr Limpy XS has the best dimensions in pants that I've found.
If you're looking for a bit larger, stick with the Medium - for me it can be used in pants without a harness or equipment whereas the others just sit funny and don't stay in place.

Go for Mr. Limpy XS! Best packer I've found for average sized folks. It's got great shape and realistic feel. Stay away from the larger sizes- they're way too long and all shaft/no balls (realistic bulge is more about the balls). The Mr. Right is ok, but I know plenty of people who have both and prefer the much less expensive Mr. Limpy.

I find that wearing a RodeoH harness not only has a waistband and design like men's briefs, it also holds the packer in its proper place very well. I have a Mr. Right and a Peecock and both work great with it and there is no slipping or sliding- everything stays in place.

Hmm that is an interesting thought. I will make sure to make a note of that and try it out for myself ^ ^

I think I may just buy a few and see how I like them. That way I can find out what fits best to me and know for the future.

It's really unnecessary for a cosplay, but if you still want it Mr. Right is amazing and so is Mr. Limpy Xs. I wouldn't spend anymore money on anything else if you just want it for cosplay.

I was looking into packers for cosplaying and my genderqueer issues, too. Personally I think it looks fine when you use a packer for cosplay, but that's just me.

I would go small. Bigger always sounds better in theory, but it just isn't realistic.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I have tried some things out and will be posting up detailed reviews soon.

I would really advise the Mr Limpy XS, the difference in size of XS and S is huge, and i find that because im rather short (5ft 3) i find that the Mr Limpy S is far too large, and it just looks like i have an erection. So i would say if you're not really tall, i'd go for the XS

in my opinion first time packing mr limpy xs

What did you get in the end?
