Need figuring out my size in female clothing

Contributor: pleasurehunter pleasurehunter
Hi, I would like to order some of the female clothes on the site, im a crossdresser I only have a few outfits and not sure as to what size they are. Most of the things on this site are s/m/l/xl. In men's clothes im about 31 waist for them to fit snugly without sagging and not being too tight. Im kind of skinny but im 6'0 and 160 lbs, and I have somewhat big hips. Built like a basketball player but im not very muscled or thick? If anyone here is really good at guessing sizes, and has bought the clothes from EF before maybe you can help me? i dont know if pics would help or not. I tried googling but they said something about measurements and tbh I don't have anything to measure with, and it doesn't help in the edenfantasies situation because on EF everything is s/m/l/xl etc. Any opinions or help that will help me figure out a size would be appreciataed

The unfortunate thing about women's sizes is that they vary greatly between manufacturers, so you have to guess by their individual size charts (which have links right on the lingerie page) - like some would list you (by your waist size) as an extra-large but others would list you as a medium.

Having worked in a thrift store where some of the local cross-dressers would try to find their sizes, I can say that it might help doing the same in trying to figure out what cuts and sizes work for you that way. Don't go to any of the church-run shops for obvious reasons, and they just don't have decent clothes anyway. Dressing rooms are unisex, so you won't have any trouble taking anything in to try on.

I hope this helps.

I agree with Chilipepper, the sizing is different from company to company. I also read reviews by people who are a similar size to me. You are tall but you could still read others' measurements in reviews to try to judge how something might fit you.

You can also go into some stores at the malls and get measured, I know it would probably be weird of awkward to walk into Victoria Secret or Lane Bryant to have someone measure you but that is always an option. People who work there can't tell you NO or discriminate that is your best bet though to get your exact measurements. You could also go to Wal*Mart or a craft store an get a measuring tape used for sewing an do your own measurements at home if you would feel more comfortable doing it that way. Even though with measurements some companies lingerie run smaller or bigger! I do wish you luck on the adventure (:
