I'm too timid to correct people so I just sit there pissed off.

My mom and my step mom mispronounce things all the time so it stopped bothering me long ago. But I do make fun of my stepmom about one time when she just couldn't get it right.

Stepmom: jolene do you have any water I'm poached
Jolene: you mean parched
Stepmom: (fanning herself with her hand) yeah I'm poached do you have any water

It really depends. If it's someone who knows my situation, I may correct them.

However, my "policy" for people in general who don't know me and never well, I just act as I feel a cis-man would. I guess that's kind-of vague but it depends. I understand some people are more "out" and more comfortable with bringing it up as a trans-issue, but I'm not - at least not right now.

I am cool with almost any pronoun personally, but I do correct people when they refer to my trans friends incorrectly.

It really depends on who and the situation, but I'm usually pretty forgiving about these sorts of things (even if they bug me sometime), especially with friends who've known me for a long time. I'd definitely feel differently if I was presenting as female full time though.

as a cis-gendered female I'm not directly affected by this but I really try to just avoid using gender specific pronouns as often as I can to avoid offending others. Gender is such a grey area anyway most of the time I really don't want to force identities on anyone.

A lot of it depends on the context. I am more likely to sternly correct friends, more politely with teachers or ignoring them.

Since I currently don't pass, I cringe and move on. The only difference is with the few people I'm out to so far and even then I'm prone to letting it slide.

My husband is still dealing with the fact that I'm transitioning (he knew I was trans when we were newly together, but we assumed I would live as a female the rest of my life) and so I give him a lot of slack with it.

You're a great person for doing that
Currently I don't pass, so it happens everytime I go out! It usually bothers me, but I ignore.
However, when persons are insisting to talk to me or even flirt insistingly (not going away when I tell them, show them by body language it bother me, or following me when I walk away and ask for personal information insistively) it can leads to some kind of weird dysphoria+anger thing later. (I guess I would feel the anger even if I was a woman - I mean, WTF is with people in this city? - but in a different way?)
I would feel endangered correcting people, or ashamed in some more opened settings (such as a LGBT center) like I am... failing at being seen as manly, I guess?

Hasn't happened recently, but usually I'll look around to the people nearest me to see if they were referring to one of them. If not, then yeah it's ignored with a confused face lol.

depends who it is. if I know them well I'll correct them. if it's an acquaintance/stranger, I'll ignore it and hope a friend/ally will correct them or just let it go.

I feel like if i just politely ask, people will think im doing it for attention or something, and just forget. If i assertively tell them i am male, they just accept it and deal with it.

Pretend it didn't happen. Or slip it into a comment correctly pronounced.

I usually just pretend it didn't happen because I don't want to have to deal with it. My girlfriend sometimes corrects people, which is both a huge relief and kind of embarrassing.

If someone does it, I don't usually correct them. It happens often, I only pass 50% of the time or so, it would get tiring if I corrected every person. I don't care that much honestly! I don't ever identify as a girl, but I don't really care if someone slips up/doesn't understand unless they're doing it in a situation where it's not ok (such as; in a potentially unsafe place) or would cause too much confusion. I just wanna keep things simple haha.

Yes, sometimes I would get incorrect pronouns though I don't recall that since before Easter.

I am wondering though, if perhaps I ought to correct people if it happens again, because normally I don't but it really pisses me off and I end up thinking about it for the whole rest of the day.

Oh, if people call me something like "young lady" or "little mama" I will actually get super mad and yell at them though. Lol.

It is my job.

this is where I spend most of my time correcting Chinese people. Depending on the person I am correcting, if it is someone I know I can have fun with I say something like, "When did so and so get a sex change?" or "When did he grow a vagina?" or my favourite, "Did you know you are a man/woman now???" we have a lot of fun with it in the classroom and usually makes us all laugh a little because it is such a problem with them trying to get he/she hima nd her right.

I usually put up with it without saying anything. I don't really expect my family to ever get the hang of gender-neutral pronouns, and my friends who aren't super clued in to the queer/trans* communities forget sometimes, or are also bad at using them. At this point I settle for knowing that my partners and close friends get them consistently right. =)

In most cases I just ignore it. If it's someone I'm close to who I've asked to use my preferred pronouns, I'll probably correct them.
