I personally am stealth and trans at my college, and know of three other transguys and one transgirl here. My school is rather accepting, so people are free to come out and live as they are.

Of those I know of, I'm one of two who are stealth. My partner is also genderqueer, and I have two other genderqueer friends here.

Beyond this, my brother is transgender as well, and I have a number of online friends and a few family friends who are.

My hometown was a generally very accepting place - I think some people escaped to there from worse situations.

I'm transgendered and have several friends that are as well. We support one another as best we can through difficult situations like telling our parents, etc.

I think there are trans people all around. It is the same for knowing smart people, knowing Asian people, knowing Republicans... They are out their, sometimes you have to get to know them to know those kinds of details about a person.

I'm stealth for the most part. Only some coworkers who I've been working with since before my transition, and people who knew me before my transition know I'm transsexual.

Edit: I misread this and thought it said how many people knew I was trans.

As far as I know, the only trans people I know are the ones I've met on Eden. I really appreciate the opportunity to learn more about trans issues, and to interact with trans people. To me, people are people and my experience with the trans folks on here has reinforced that.

I identify more as genderqueer but most people, once I explain how I feel about myself, seem to think I'm more of a FTM transgender person.
