Ok, the answers are weird, but don't judge me.

I didn't lose any sensitivity. I never feel pain there anymore unless I've been REALLY overworking it, but neither has sensation decreased. I guess it's like the difference between having someone kiss you on the lips versus kissing your eyeball- one could lead to intense irritation and pain, yet you don't feel it any less in the non-harmful spot. That's the best way I know to describe it, lol
If I pump often then I have trouble feeling whether or not I'm getting a boner because I adapt to the more intense feeling, yet I can feel the second I get touched. It's just that without contact I wouldn't notice the difference as much, yet supposedly a lot of guys (cisguys and trans) can get a hardon without realizing it until it presses against their pants or something, and I wear loose boxers.
Want to increase sensitivity? You do that through MINDFULNESS. Just a couple times a day, no matter what you're doing, try and pay attention to the sensation there, even if you don't feel anything. Similarly ignoring or not paying attention to sensations makes them less noticeable as they blend into the 'white noise' that is most of our body every day. At any given moment you're not thinking how your head, shoulders, feet, back, and stomach feel yet you can easily focus on each if you decide to and it becomes a habit.
