Age During Transition?

Contributor: Lock Lock
At what age did you start your transition, if you've started? I'd consider any step you feel is a first step in transition as being the start - whether it's picking a name, getting a binder, or having surgery.

Constructive discussions on Cock rings:

vibrating penis ring
do vibrating penis rings work? or Do they turn a guy on more? or Do they make him come faster?

Is there any danger factor to metal cock rings?
I'm getting one as a present, and was just wondering if there is. I've read in random places that there is slightly, so I don;t want to accidentally..

Cock Rings A Plus or a minus?
So im new to the idea of using a cock ring. I dont have any problems staying hard or lasting a good amount of time. If anything to long at times, but.

vibrating rings
How do you use a vibrating ring (if you do use them) and what does it do for you? For me, they just get in the way of intercourse.

20 here, going to be 21 by the time I get hormones from a Dr. but I voted based on self-identification and self-dosing

I came out at 16 and got my first packer pretty soon after. However I had known, and had been binding since I was 14. I had my first therapy session and name change at 18, started T when I was 19, unfortunately I had to stop both because of my parents and money, I've recently started therapy again, thank GOD. It's about time!

I got my first binder for my 17th birthday (I had to ask my cousin to buy it for me because I didn't have a credit card and couldn't ask my parents).
I guess I sort of came out to my mom shortly after that because she asked about how my chest was all of a sudden flat.
Started using male pronouns and the name Elliott my freshman year of college and then changed my mind because it felt too foreign to me.
A few months before I turned 23 I started seeing a therapist and started hormones.

I voted for my husband. He was under 18, and started testosterone at 19-I think.

I knew something wasn't right when I went through puberty at 12, but I was too scared to do anything about it until I was 22

Depending on what you consider "start your transition", I realized what transness was and stuff when I was 14, though I had gravitated to male names before that. As for hormones, I started at 19.

i identified as male at age 2-3. i discovered the term "transgender" when i was 12. i came out to some people then, and have accepted that as the term for my condition ever since. i came out to everyone and started the process of trying to find a doctor/therapist who would get me t when i was 15. i'm now almost 21, and i start hormones next week after six miserable years of indiana screwing me over.

I'm twenty-nine years old and I only just started my transition a few months ago.

I've been Mason since 2007 and Mace since 2002, but I didn't get a binder, start taking DHEA or even think of getting a packer until early this year.

I was about 17, I guess. I'm still transitioning now at 18, but that was when I came out to my mum, transitioned at school and got into the NHS medical system for it, so yeah.

I started at 21. I'm not planning to go on T, but at age 21 was when I started to like, transition in my life. Getting people to use my new name and etc.

I started at 16, that's when I got my first binder and started fully self-identifying as trans. I started my hormones at 17, and surgery is soon to follow, I hope.

Socially transitioned at age 18 once I graduated from my not-queer-friendly high school, started hormones shortly before turning 20.

I made the decision to identify as trans*, rather than tenderly wish I could magically alter my biological gender but otherwise write it off, when I was twenty-one. It's been one fast-paced, all-too-slow, chaotic tumble since then.

Though if we're including when I'd thoughtlessly wish away my birth-assigned sex, that was when I was fifteen or sixteen. I had no idea what "trans*" was then, and couldn't have confidently told you the difference between a dragqueen and someone who was genderqueer at the time. (Though who can confidently categorize anyone at gunpoint, I suppose!)

I'm 19, but already feel like it's too late. It seems like so many people start so early
