Ten.

Yes. You read that right. TEN. 1-0. All indoor.

We had 5 when we got married (hubby 1, me 4) and then one of them had kittens. Everyone said "oh, I'll take a kitten!"... no one took a kitten. Four years later, we're attached.

We have a dog too. And an almost-3 year old. It's a busy house here.

I've had many cats at different points in my life. Basically been around cats since I was 5 years old. My most recent three have passed on from old age. Unfortunately, no more cats for me. My girlfriend is horribly allergic.

I'm allergic to cats but I have a pack of bulldogs and pugs. I prefer the snorting stampede to ninja-like creatures.

@ Raigne--I'm very impressed with you for getting strays fixed and building them an enclosure. Really helps the pet population (Bob Barker would be proud!)

I love my kitty. If you get a cat make sure you get it at the pound or SPCA because they get put down if they don't get a home. We got ours from off the street because nobody took care of him. We got him fixed and now he has a lovely home where he gets taken care of really well.

No option for those of us that are cat people AND dog people! We have three outdoor and one indoor cat, three indoor dogs, and we're currently fostering another four dogs that are temporarily in the backyard until we can integrate them into the pack with our indoor idiot dogs.

BTW, anyone want a Golden Retriever puppy? (You should probably be relatively close to central Arkansas.)

I have a sphynx and I have had no problems allergy wise. Usually I'm a mess around regular cats. My brother is the same way and he's fine too.
