Have you tried using social networking sites like MySpace and Facebook? Or look around for more adult dating sites. That might be a safe way to find bisexual women around your area.

Now, just curious--are you looking specifically for bisexual women, or just women interested in women in general?

Well I'm not going to give my name and info when I'm looking at first because of my husband's job and because of security. But when I start a conversation and I deem it safe - I'm happy to share personal info like my name and location etc etc.

I've found that women interested only in women aren't interested in me because I'm married. Sigh!

Like Miss Cinnamon said, I think myspace/facebook would be a good place to start too, but I understand why you wouldn't want to put yourself out there like that. I'm from the deep south too! When I was still on the market I would usually meet girls the same way I met guys, the only difference was that I was usually friends with the girls before we started hooking up (girls tend to need to gain a little more trust before jumping into the sack than boys do). I saw on your profile that you're my age-- I think a lot of girls (more than are willing to admit outright) in our age range are bi, or at least open to bisexual experiences. These are most often single "party girls" who like to hang out in bars and/or around college campuses. They are most likely lonely, horny, drunk, and want to fuck something. --at least that is my experience.

I have the same issue. When I have been with women it was because we were friends and then the bi curiosity issue came up and it was acted on. I would love to have another GF..or for the last one to come see me out here....she was such a sweetie.

That's the thing - most of my experiences (not all) involved drunk girls who wake up in my bed and are so overcome with guilt or shame that I lose both a friend and a potential lover.

Myspace and facebook I reserve for my 'conservative' side - ie non sex reviewer, non bi side! Which makes it hard. I know I know I shouldn't lie about who I am, and my very very close friends and my husband know - but that's how far I'm willing to at the moment.

Sienna: I'm in the same position so I wanted you to know you're not alone. I'm married but my husband knows that I like the ladies and wouldn't mind if ever found a special one. Unfortunately, like you, I'm in the bible belt and it's hard. (I'm on the MS/AL line, shoot!)

I know Facebook used to be a little more picky (I joined three years ago, when you had to be university-affiliated- -hurrah for dual enrollment classes!) but I think the rules for joining have gotten much more lenient since then and one of my friends had up to three accounts with the same name at one point. I'm pretty sure that you can have multiple accounts on MySpace too. Why not make up a fake name or two and create accounts solely for the purpose of meeting potential lovers? You won't be jeopardizing your privacy that way and you'll be able to take advantage of some of the most popular social networking tools available.

Just watch the pits with Facebook; they tend to be a little anal-retentive about nudity. I have my father friended on my Facebook, even, but they still asked me to remove an artistic photo where I was nude, but not showing anything. I told them if I'm willing to let my dad see it, it's okay. That shut them up.

There's also Adultspace.com, which markets itself as an adult version of MySpace. One of my more... exhibitionist friends has an account there and he has posted sex videos of himself and his girlfriend. I think that sort of content is actually encouraged on that website, but I have yet to really look at the site itself. It's there, though.

Start a yahoo group called "Bi Girls Alabama/Georgia" and get the word out to the above mentioned communities. It will grow. I was lucky enough to join such a group in my city right as it was formed - it was not a hook up group, more about discussion and understanding and such. I credit this group with most of my girlie relationships and also most of my comfort and confidence with my bisexual side.

I know how hard it is. It's hard enough living in the South - but your situation has to be even more difficult because you are also committed to your husband.

Also, are you looking for a girlfriend, or just an occasional lover? If you are looking for a relationship with a woman, and this is going to sound odd, maybe you should try looking to other married women. This would prevent a "third" party.

My current partner dated a married woman with a husband that "approved", but when feelings started getting involved it left my partner very heartbroken.

It doesn't sound odd at all! I've actually had successful relationships with other married women - it prevents things from being weird, if that makes sense! And thank you for the link I'm going to try that too!

Sometimes I feel like being Bi is about the most awkward niche to be in for this very reason, at least if you desire to be involved with both a man and a woman. Not to mention being bi in the south, at least I'm up here in Seattle where at least 80% of the general population is at the very least gay/lesbian/bisexual friendly. I was born and raised in North Carolina and still go back "home" once a year so I'm frequently enough reminded of how intolerant some people can be. o_O; I like to remain faithful that one day everyone will just be allowed to love for love's sake though.

Well, I am not Bi, but it seems that all the women 4 women postings on Craigslist in my state are. They are all young, horny and looking for femme bi women. They usually are married with a deployed husband so they do not consider it cheating (lol). Those of us who are dykes and butches go to Walmart or Kmart and hang out in the fishing/camping/sports aisles or in sporting good stores. We also can be found looking at powertools in Sears and City Mill and Home Depot. If you want a really good hot fuck, you will find yourself a butch daddy who knows what they are doing. It won't be anywhere near the MAC counter at Macy's.

I'm attracted to all different kinds of people, but for me I find myself generally more drawn to feminine girls - I appreciate both the unique femininity of a woman as well as the strong masculinity of men. But for me, it's the delicate curves and sensual girliness of women that really draws me, so while I have been attracted to more butch girls, I *typically* find myself more magnetized to the femme girls. I don't personally think that physical qualities (i.e. butch vs. femme) have really anything to do with who's the better "fuck", per se.

As to whether they're bi or lesbian, I could care less, personally.

You can find femmes at Sephora, and if you are a butch they are glad to give their opinion on "which cologne smells better on which arm". etc. You want a butch, you better find a local bar softball team, or go to the free weight area in your gym. If you are a femme, the butches will find you. I've hooked up in the public library, at Ross, etc. I've never been to a bar, we don't have women's bars in Hawaii, and I look enough like a dude that I wouldn't be let in anyway......

Just keep your eyes and ears open and flirt with all the women. Start with sincere compliments. Some women are straight until they wake up one day and just aren't.

I understand. I'm bisexual, engaged, and living in the south, which makes even the possibility of being with other women really unlikely. Especially because I prefer getting to know the other person a bit. Sliding into it "naturally". Awkward, rushed, and forced relationships of any kind are NOT appealing to me.

Maybe you should make a separate FB or MySpace account for your "naughty" side. Not lying or anything. Just putting forward another side of yourself. You could also try OKCupid. I don't really like that website, but some people love it. It might work for you.

I'm also looking for females in my area to share some times with. facebook & myspace are too personal with sharing information. I have tried fling & ok cupid & im not fond of either of them. still looking, so hope fully someone will find some useful hints to meeting more women, because im not having much luck near stl, mo.
