I didn't realize until my later teens that I had been experiencing those sorts of feelings since 12 or 13. I didn't know what it was until I actually started dating.
How old were you when you first realized... (private voting)

I realized it in elementary school. I never had a boundary put in place for that sort of thing so it did not seem weird or unnatural to me.

This doesn't have to include actual "encounters", it could've simply been your first crushes in school, or the first time you got butterflies in your stomach talking to someone. We all go through that stage, I think, where we realize that we like both genders, so I was just curious! For some it may have taken longer because you weren't told that this was even an option, or you didn't realize what the term for it was, so I'll leave it up to your discretion as to whether or not you feel it was when you first had a crush of each gender, had a first date, or first discovered the term for your feelings! I think at the start of high school.

15 or 16. I never thought about being anything but straight until everyone I knew kept asking if I was bi because apparently I seemed the type. I identify as queer, though, not bi.

I was 20, college, a girl that took me under her wing in one of my classes amd just made me realize how I didn't have to be so conservative anymore....

I first remember falling for my friend at.. around 16. But looking through old diaries, i had butterflies for another girl by 13/14

I realized it when i was 11 or 12.

I'd say early teens. like 15 or so. But i've always been very open about possibilities. I've also always been very accepting with other peoples sexual orientations. I've never judged anyone for anything like that. Thats why I think it's so funny when a few friends have been afraid to tell me that they are gay/bi because its really no big deal for me. It's not like I wouldn't be their friend anymore just because of that.

I grew up in a very small town and was pretty sheltered. I don't think I even knew what being gay/bisexual was until I was maybe 13. So that was also probably the age I realized I was bisexual.

I really liked my best friend in 1st grade AND a really cute boy who was very sweet to me. I kept asking "what does liking someone mean?" and girls would throw it all off lol

It was definitely early on, I think the moment I realized I liked people in a way other than "just friends" is when I realized I liked both boys and girls, but then telling other people or coming out took a lot longer.

13 or 14, although my feelings toward females have lessened.

Early teens?

I realized I was "bisexual" when I was about 14 or so, I believe. Or maybe it was later? It's hard to remember. It later went onto me being a lesbian, though, with some bad encounters with men. I'm a "lesbian with a boyfriend", as far as I'm concerned now, but for general purposes and for easier explanation, I'm bisexual.

About eight? I think.

I had crushes on boys I knew early on, and so figured I must be straight, then ended up dating mostly girls in high-school and realizing all my media crushes were women, and so thought I must be a lesbian.
I had a very confusing time of it my senior year of high-school when I ended up attracted to a guy. It was a very "WTF is wrong with me?" kind of time, and I felt like a complete moron when a roommate simply asked if it was so bad to like both genders. Epiphany moment: "Oooohhhhooh! I like both!" Duh. =P

I had a crush on a girl when I was 17 but I didn't really start labeling myself as bisexual until I was 20
03/02/2012
15. Before I was lesbian, never been attracted to any man.
04/06/2012
I started feeling same sex attraction around 16-17, which is also when I started being sexually active with girls. But I tried to ignore it. Because despite the fact that one of my best friends is gay, and that I had nothing against gays... It felt wrong for ME to be attracted to guys. Then at about 18 or so I started to open up more to the idea of being bi... Whenever I'd watch porn, I started looking at the girls' AND guys' features. From there I started experimenting with myself... *ahem*
And now I'm completely open to being with a guy. Just looking for the right time and person to try it out :]

I just took a while to realize that not everyone was this way.

I can't remember a time when I didn't at least suspect it, but I realized for sure when I was 15.

I am from a conservative family and I had no idea that bisexual was an option. I thought all women looked at other women's breasts and bodies the same way they looked at men. That was a surprise, it seemed so natural. I didn't "label" as bisexual until late high school because of this.

I was either 15 or 16 when I fully realized that I was in fact bisexual. I come from a very conservative area, so, while I never had any issue with people who were LGBT, I had trouble coming to terms with the idea that I might be anything other than straight myself. Up until around I was around 13 or 14 I only was really interested in boys, but that year I got a massive crush on another girl. I assumed it was just an exception for this one girl and moved on. For the next few years I had a few more girl crushes, then when I had a really intense one that was very heavily lust-based on a girl a couple years older than me during my freshman year in high school, I came to terms with the fact that, okay, yeah, I'm attracted to women as well as men.

I put the pieces together at about 13. I came out at 14 to my lesbian momma. She giggled and said "welcome to the team".
04/11/2012
I think I fully realized it around age 12 or 13. I know it was before I was a freshman in highschool, because that's when a classmate outed me to the entire school...

Havnet realized yet

I remember from a really young age thinking "gosh she's so pretty I wanna be her friend" it wasn't until I was 16 or so that I realized it wasn't a friendship I wanted from them...

First lightheartedly at around 11, properly at 13/14?
