My friend is in search of a new vibrator and she's narrowed it down to the LAYAspot and BCurious. They both have good reviews but I don't have...

I voted for Butt plug, even though technically you want to use a well designed prostate massager if you really want to make good contact, especially if you're a beginner and you are looking to find everything. The most well known toy for this is the Aneros. They make a full range prostate massagers, but to start out I would go for the MGX or the Helix. Nexus also makes a full line of well designed massagers, and there are others out there. Do a search for Prostate and look the product list. Anything similar in form and dimensions to the Aneros or Nexus massagers could work.

Hell ya!

When first looking for your prostate and finger is the best. With any toy, you will only be able to feel where the toy is moving. With a finger you can feel the lump that is the prostate. Make sure you are sexually aroused and don't forget the lube.

Yea I like the nexus line but I can't decide which shape I would want, the 'boy' line is interesting but same problem, what shape?! There are significant differences in shape and I feel like I would have to try them in order to choose!

I have the Excel and the new Ridge Rider. I would hold off on the Ridge rider until you actually have had some success in finding and stimulating your pspot. The Excel on the other hand will nail your prostate like a guided missle. It makes very firm contact with it, and is by far the most assertive prostate massager I have used made by any manufacturer. I don't have the Aneros Progasm yet, but I imagine that it makes its presence known in a similar fashion to the Excel. By my eye, the Glide and the Titus are slimmer, and therefore are not as agressive. This doesn't mean that they are any less effective, more that the learning curve might be a little bit higher. If I were you, I would avoid the "boy line" and go for a hands free massager with a perineum tab like the Aneros or Nexus (Excel, Glide Titus etc). Once you get the hang of using one of these excellent toys, you can have fun with almost any plug.

Just with different toys and trying out different things works the best. Eventually you will find exactly what you like the best.

So - which one and how easy was it to find your prostate with?

I should mention that not everyone will be able to reach their prostate with their finger. For some people it is located too deeply inside the rectum. My partner needs a probe or some other toy to reach his. A finger is a good place to start but if you're not finding it then a toy is good!

This. try having your partner (or just yourself) slip a finger in a couple inches, give or take, and crook it up toward your penis. Then just lean back and enjoy! (This is what I do to get my boyfriend going, and it works every time

Finger first because you can feel from both sides (the prostate and the finger), so it helps you to figure out where things are and how to get at them. Yes, on some people the finger won't be quite long enough for a perfect massage, but it's good to start.

Having used both the Nexus and the Aneros I'd recommend the Aneros first. They seem to be easier to use and often more comfortable.

The best item I have used to find it is a curved glass toy. It is C shaped with 2 different sized balls on the ends. I knew I hit it with the orgasm feeling, as well as dripping fluid. Sometimes when the larger ball end is in it is hard to pass the prostate, which worries me that it seems to have gotten bigger during play.

I would have to second the curved glass (or metal like the Pure Wand) toy. I found my p spot quickly and got a great massage out of it.

Your hands and fingers are the most versatile multitaskers you will ever find.
Just do the come hither finger crawl until you feel a little 'perk' in sensation.
I like using a vibrator but I already know how to hit my button.

The only downside to fingers is that an extra half-inch would make things much easier. Sometimes a deep prostate + small fingers means that you just can't connect.

Just realized I got this backwards - I'd recommend the Nexus first. Many Aneros have the disk-style exterior stimulator that can be uncomfortable, whereas the Nexus has the nice metal ball. The Nexus is also easier to drive, both by hand or by butt.

Yep, it is better to start slowly

Take a look at these p-spot toys that are beginner-friendly: Intelligent P-spot massager and
Lanco. These items come with remote control, so you can enjoy the play alone or give your wife total control. Both toys stimulate the testicles, which is a nice add-on.

Some other options are the
Joyride and the P-spot stir. These are a bit bigger than the previous ones, but their curved shapes and bulbous heads hit the p-spot just right.

And take a look at these when you decide to upgrade your beginner's P-spot toy:
Catalyst and
Prostate swirl. The main feature of these toys is the rotating beads inside the shaft. According to the reviews, the rimming sensations they deliver are super pleasurable.

And for a nice experience, don't forget about the lube Plenty of lube!
