Specific toys?

Are the P-spot specific toys the only toys to work on it or do regular dildos or butt plugs work?

LOTS of toys can work on the P-spot, including vibrators, dildos, and butt plugs. It may be different for every guy, but toys with curved tips work well in our house.

No, they are not the only toys that work; however, they are specialized to ensure P-spot stimulation. Generally, the P-spot toys are relatively short and have a curved tip. The prostate is located only a few inches inside of the rectum, which accounts for the toys' small sizes. Additionally, the curved tip allows for the toy to press up directly on the prostate to cause maximum stimulation. So far, though, I have not found a good P-spot specific toy that works for me. I still haven't tried the Aneros line of toys because they do carry a hefty price tag, but I will try them some time in the near future. I have found, for me, that larger diameter dildos and butt plugs(preferably vibrating models) work very well for P-spot stimulation. The large diameter allows for the anus to be dilated to the point where the toy provides added pressure against the prostate causing increased pleasure, a HUGE load, and an unbelievable orgasm. Hope this helps.

Some say that many g-spot toys work on the p-spot, and vice versa. Ultimately it's up to your own anatomy to determine what works and what doesn't.

I like the Njoy wands. Hits the right spot without stressing and easy to use.

Yeah. I second that. I've heard of a lot of people having good luck with the Pure Wand for P-spot pleasure.

It's absolutely a matter of personal anatomy. I've personally had good luck with the TitanMen tool 1. If you're a beginner then you'll want the Trainer size. If you're a little more experienced you'll want the Master variety.

Other toys work just fine, in fact some of my favorites aren't P-spot specific.

In a dildo curves and a pronounced head help increase stimulation, as do certain textures (look at the F.F. Tiger or Tantus Charmer for examples).

In a plug look for something with a bulge about 2-3" up and a base that lets you wiggle it.

Wands can be great, too - in fact almost anything designed for the G-spot will work just as well anally. You do need to be careful about safety, and I strongly recommend santitizable non-porous materials such as metal, glass or silicone (hard plastic is also OK, though it can't be cleaned quite as well). Avoid jelly and any other materials that might leach toxins into your delicate mucosa.

Toys designed for the prostate are generally the best I have found. Many G-spot toys also work well (Dons Wands Bent Graduate for example), but I have found that a lot of gspot toys are too wide at the base or too wide at the depth at which they would be exiting the anus while the head is massaging the prostate. One of the thing about the Aneros toys and other well designed prostate massagers is that they are fairly narrow at the base. This is good for two reasons...first of all it is simply more comfortable, and second, have a narrow base allows for the muscles down there to move the toy around for hands free stimulation. These days I have been looking for toys that have relatively large heads (1.5"+) with narrow bases. Like everyone has been saying, the best toys are going to bend upwards towards the prostate.

butt plugs, and dildos and p/g spot toys work to varying degrees. It is all about what you like. One of my favorite toys is a glass g/p spot toy I bought at a sex show this year. Hard and smooth toys with a curve are my favorite so glass wands were a good choice for me and allows me to put the pressure exactly where it is needed.
Don't be afraid to ecperiment and find the shapes and materials that fit you best. As has been already said sterilize-able materials are generally the best.
