I've been squirting a few months now and have come to know my cum. It smells like me (but different) and after the wet spot dries, leaves no stain even on my white-ish sheets. However, the last time, my ejaculate obviously had a higher urine content than normal as it did stain and left an unpleasant scent. This wouldn't be an issue if I hadn't forgotten to throw down a towel then so it affected my bed/sheets. If I am using a towel, I don't really care if it is urine but I was wondering if anyone else had times when their ejaculate had a higher urine content than usual and, if so, any ideas as to why?
Higher urine content in ejaculate?

I don't really know a whole lot about ejaculation and have not ejaculated myself - yet.
But did you not urinate beforehand this time? This was my initial thought.
I guess if you usually don't, then it probably shouldn't matter...

I have had this issue. Once I had squirted a load on a towel and although it didnt stain the towel since it was green but it smelt of urine the next day when my man picked it up to smell it (he smells towels to see if they smell clean before using to dry himeself after his shower). I didnt know why it smelt of urine, it sort of feaked me out.
So in short, it happens, I am not sure why. My partner doesnt care so I dont either. The squirting turns him on and if there is urine it is not going to kill him.
I think that if I retain my squirt and dont let it out it goes up into my bladder and if urine is there it comes out next squirt that builds up. I don't really know, I am just speculating here. So thats my reasoning.

I've noticed that there is sometimes a urine smell with my juices or ejaculate. I used to be worried that it was always urine, but now I don't care, especially since I got the Throe. Since ejaculate comes from the urethra and probably has something to do with the bladder, I think the odds are good that you will occasionally (or even more often) have urine mixed in. I think it's inevitable. I've had a urine mix even though I've voided my bladder before g-spot stimulation.

I'm sure there are some women who have never had the urine smell, but I'm not certain that there is never any urine present in their ejaculate. Either way, I don't think people should be worried about a bit of urine during play. It's not going to kill anyone who ingests it, although medications can be passed through the urine.

this is a good question.
i haven't been squirting too long (about 3 ish weeks i'd say), so I haven't come across this issue yet. I am sure the day will come, though.

I'm so relieved to hear that this happens to others too. Most of the time my ejaculate smells much less strong than urine, but its often yellow-tinged.
My theory is that the fluid comes from the bladder and a chemical in the female prostate is what changes it to be less colored, less salty and more sugary. But this process no doubt works with different efficiencies in different women. And its not an efficient process in me, possibly because I started later in life.
I read an article once that specifically mentioned a chemical in the female prostate responsible for decolorizing ejaculate. I can't find that article to save my life now.

Randomly, I used to date a squirty girl who would occasionally go onto b vitamins whenever "a health craze" washed over her. For those that don't know, b vitamins make your pee very orange-y (because your body processes them and removes them via excretion). Well, whenever she was on B vitamins, her ejaculate would be orangish as well.
Sometimes when I squirt, if I am dehydrated or am trying particularly hard (the two often go hand in hand) it smells faintly of urine.
It *does* come out of the urethra (although from glands right near the end of the urethra) so it's not so hard to imagine "contamination" (for lack of a better word), I figure.
And I do think this is part of the reason the "but its just pee" explanation continues to exist.

I know it does come from the urethra and will always contain trace amounts of urine (at least) but this was definitely different from my norm.

I've had this happen a few times too. I have no idea why, but for me it usually happens where there is a rather large amount of ejaculate, which typically means I've been working it up a while. I'm curious to see if there is any sort of definite (or hell, even logical) explanation.

This just happened to me tonight. There was a faint odor of urine to my ejaculate. My husband just reminded me of this post on the forums.

He suggested that it could be because I'm using diuretics right now to try to flush out some of my water weight/bloating from being on my period. So, it could be caused by eating foods that are natural diuretics, hormones or drinking more water. That's about the only thing that I could think that might cause it.

I think overall hydration is the key. It helps with the volume of my ejaculate. I have never seen a urine stain or smelled urine with my ejaculate so I believe that if any urine is present it is so very highly diluted to be undetected outside a lab.
Lack of hydration causes a very dark and odorous urine. If the urine is highly concentrated it would probably effect the ejaculate if ejaculation is even possible in this situation.
A guys' pre-cum could also contain a minute amount of urine "if his pipes aren't flushed" by urinating beforehand. no pun intended

This is becoming to be my on-going problem. I am now using a beach towel on our king size bed! I always urinate right before intercourse, to be really sure my bladder is empty. Doing Kegel excerises for strengthening my viginal muscles. But still I am having problems with my faucet. Now I'm suffering from UTI and taking meds now. Now my hubby and I are taking a break because of it.

I know I'm not answering your concerns, really sorry about that. If you do get some solutions, please pass it along. Thanks!
Oh, I did make an appointment to see my Ob-Gyne.

Occasionally mine is more milky and surprisingly stringy and couldn't be anything else but ejaculate, but most times it is watery even when I've been to the bathroom beforehand. I'm thinking the urea content in the fluid could changes over the course of a month too. Urea comes out not only in urine but in sweat and other glands from what I remember (though not to the same extent). I wonder if mild dehydration would affect the smell too.
