A poll to clarify our thoughts on female ejaculation

Contributor: Tuesday Tuesday
Its clear from recent polls about female ejaculation that we're not all talking about the same thing. The goal of this poll is to clarify where we fall in our beliefs and experience on this topic. Statements are phrased in the first person but feel free to vote about the experience of your partner.

Definitions:
'Large quantity' = more than a tablespoon.
'Small quanity' = a tablespoon or less.
'Squirt' = liquid shoots out forcefully.
'Gush' = liquid pours out, is secreted or is emitted in a non-projectile fashion.

Great poll idea! I honestly cannot tell if mine comes from my urethra or vagina, but I voted what I felt was most accurate for me. I gush a small quantity, I think it comes from my vagina but I can't really tell for sure, and it's watery or a little thicker than water depending on the day.

Great topic. When I squirt, which is hard to come by these days, it's usually in large amounts and very watery. As best I can tell, it comes from my vagina. That's just my gut feeling and I could be wrong. If someone has a scientific answer for this I would be thrilled to learn it.

I've felt close to squirting a few times, but it hasn't happened yet.

Upon orgasm, these are the possible outcomes for me:
1) I want to squirt, so I do.
2) I don't want to squirt, so I hold it back.
3) I don't want to squirt, but I can't hold back, so the result is gushing.
Extremely large amounts. I'd say up to two, two and a half cups. I completely flooded the couch by accident once.

I often try to hold back too, just to prolong the good sensation.

I gush anywhere from a very small amount to a foot wide wet-spot on the bed, and I'm reasonably certain it comes from both my vagina and urethra. I'm actually certain I have what I would classify as two different types of ejaculatory orgasms, one from g-spot stimulation and one from a-spot stimulation. The bigger "gushes" are usually from combined stimulation of the two, while the smaller ones are from G or A alone. I find the ejaculate to be thicker than water, and similar in consistency to vaginal lubricant or precum.

Wow. I didn't know it was possible to have an A-spot orgasm. I thought that spot's purpose was to produce lubrication.

I am surprised at the number of people who believe it comes from the vagina...

I cheated and voted for my wife. She gushes a modest amount - sometimes its a lot but not usually.

It's not coming from her urethra, its definitely vaginal.

I assume that the Skene's gland and the a-spot is definitely a factor.

Different topic - my wife's most common orgasm these days is a blended orgasm that combines a-spot and clitoral orgasms. She can do a-spot alone, but usually does not have the patience to do it and grabs a clit vibe to finish things off.

I didn't realize it either, until I had one. But then, it's possible to orgasm from just about anything, so it didn't shock me too badly. Honestly, I'm not 100% sure I'd call what happens when the a-spot is stimulated to that point ejaculation, it's more like it's overproducing lubrication.

My experience is exactly like yours.

(I don't think I've ever typed that on a forum before? But I really mean it, right down to the parts which are certain and reasonably certain.)

This doesn't quite fit in with any of the polling options so I'm refraining from voting for the time being.

Mine are a vaginal gush without projectile "squirting" It is a large amount and feels thick like lubricant.

I seem to have two different kinds of ejaculate.

After any very strong orgasm, I have a small amount of thicker-than-water, whitish liquid come out of my vagina, but I wouldn't even call it a "gush." I often have to squeeze out most of it. It's salty (and I've heard that gushing is supposed to be mildly sweet), but so is my natural lubricant, so I don't know if it's a real gush or if I'm just producing more lubricant.

Stimulation with any kind of vibrator (clitoral or vaginal), or hitting my G-spot for a while without also rubbing my clitoris at the same time, has a high chance of producing a large squirt of clear, colorless (my urine is usually distinctly yellow) odorless liquid from my urethra. And it'll happen regardless of how well I empty my tank beforehand. This also tastes salty, but not quite as much as the gush. Stimulating my clit by hand won't cause this, and seems to actually prevent it. No clue if it's pee or not.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again...

Me too. In my opinion, thicker than water material that doesn't come from the urethra means excellent lubrication, not female ejaculation. Admirable and enviable for sure, but not the same thing.

It's nice to know I'm not alone. I'm kinda fascinated now about the correlation and if there's any kind of pattern.

Enviable indeed!

Every time I gush or squirt it always comes from the urethra and it is odorless and a clear liquid. Sometimes if I have very sensual sex where I am highly aroused but hold in my squirt, I will go "pee" after sex and it will be clear and colorless.

Where would you suggest learning more about it?

OK I have vaginal lubrication that is thicker than water and which I don't classify as "ejaculation" though I do become more wet with it when I come. I believe that's pretty normal.

Then I have female ejaculate which comes from stimulation of my g-area and is not necessarily accompanied by an orgasm. It's a gush of a little to a lot of thin watery liquid that has a sweet fresh odor. I have this kind of liquid less often than my regular lubrication and only recently learned to tap into it more readily. To be honest I don't know where it comes from other than it's not pee. I guess it comes from the urethral sponge... Does that sound about right?

I'm still totally confused. Is it only my regular natural lubrication? Is it squirting? Where DOES it come from? Sigh

I gush a large amount, it's always shocking to me how much fluid there is. I seriously need one of those Liberator throes. Squirting/gushing is fascinating to me. Where is this reservoir of fluid stored in my body? it makes sense that is would be in my bladder, but then why doesn't it smell like pee? Mine is very watery and only has a very slight sweet smell. I can't tell whether it comes from my urethra or my vagina though. I believe it is my urethra, but who knows?

So obviously I don't understand much about what is happening, but I still think it is awesome!

I've come to the conclusion that the Skene's gland injects material into liquid that comes from the bladder. I thought I read somewhere that one of the chemicals contributed from the Skene's gland de-colorizes the liquid. I can't find that article now.

When I use a G-spot toy, I always hold one hand so that my fingers press down on my clitoris and the palm of my hand is on my abdomen. Right before I squirt, I can feel something swelling right above the pubic bone. I assume this is the Skene's gland filling with liquid.

Does anyone else notice this?

YES! I have noticed this, it happens juuuuust before I squirt. I just had no idea what to make of it or what it could be. I suppose you could be right about it being the Skene's gland filling with fluid... hmmmm....

I usually try to make these decisions as well. I am glad to know I am not the only one that has held back!! Sometimes it is very difficult and I will either squirt or gush a very large amount.

On a separate note, I always pee about two-three minutes before orgasm and know for a fact this fluid is completely different in make up, texture and taste than urine.

I can identify with your experience, but I notice more thickness (sometimes whitish in color) in ejaculate with A-spot and PS-spot stimulation, than with G-spot stimulation. I notice G-spot orgasm will sometimes produce more of a watery-type, clear substance.

Seeing as I've done a video close up of my ejaculation before, I can tell you it's not coming from my urethra alone. There may be some liquid, no urine because I always empty my bladder before playtime, coming out but the majority of it actually comes from somewhere inside the vaginal canal. My anatomy is all sorts of messed up though and I have related health issues so I'm far from the norm.

Yes, I notice and experience the same thing. I never made the connection of the different spot affecting the ejaculate, but YES!

Going down on a woman is my favorite thing. What ever she produces through stimulation or orgasm. I plan on ingesting to the last drop. I am old school that way and I also love when it wets her pubic hair and glistens her vagina. Total arousing experience. Hence, I like to give her 2 or 3 before I get off. Or, she takes care of me first and I can be rebuilding and reloading for intercourse later.
