If you have these types of "major league size" items in your home, please let us know if they are worth getting.
PS....people with POLES for "working out" but not using them for "sex play or home shows", be honest...that doesn't count here!!!

I own a professional fitness pole and the Pleasure Swing.
Do I THINK they're worth it? It totally depends! I went ahead and forked over for the fitness pole because I truly want to learn to dance and perform some extensive acrobatS! Lol. I am doing good with it, but it's such a challenge. It's something that you won't find worth it unless you are going to devote time and pain! Lots and lots of pain. I've had a nasty bruise on my knee that hasn't went away since I first installed the pole. It's worth it for me. If you're simply planning to dance around it, do a spin and strip, no, it will not be worth it and probably won't get much use after the novelty wears off and that happens quick. Once I started really getting beat up, I realized that it's a darn good thing I was SURE I wanted to really be devoted to this. I don't use a spin pole. Those are much easier, but I decided I wanted to learn on a pole that I have to do all the work on.
Pole dancing can actually be an art and beautiful. It's been turned into something that is viewed only as a sex object now though. Ha, a lot like what women are viewed as! Yes, my partner watches me use it and he's spinned on it too! But it takes soooo much practice to finally be on that pole and look graceful, or anything other than like a wild animal ready to attack. So either way, you really HAVE to put in work. Unless of course, your someone who has more $ than they know what to do with and can afford to install a pole just for the occasional hump, dip and strip. Lol. I am not sure I understood what you meant about "people with poles for working out, but not using them for sex play, be honest.. that doesn't count here?" What doesn't count here? Are you asking if the poles are actually worth it for anything but fitness? In my opinion, the crazy things I'm able to do on the pole (not just humping it and stripping) are more beautiful than humping it and stripping. I like that I am able to use my talent and it be beautiful and sexy. Not that I personally think my crazy acrobats are sexy, but my partner gets a kick out of watching. You can't just jump on a pole and it automatically look sexy. It takes time, practice and dedication. If I weren't able to put that into it, it would not be worth it to me.
As for the swing, we love it. We don't use it every time we have sex, but it's fun. It's not as fun as falling off my pole 106 times in one evening, but it's worth it. It does allow different angles and in some cases, it's easier than most positions. Heck, it's even fun to just swing in! Lol. I do think the swings are over priced for what they are. I mean it's just a huge screw and small flaps of fabric and straps! If you're super handy, you could actually make one yourself! You can find material safe enough if you know what you're doing. No! I am not advising this. Lol. I wouldn't trust my own self to make one safe enough, hence the reason I paid for mine.
It all depends on the person. What do you want it for? How much thought have you put into it? How hard are you willing to work? The pole is something that I feel requires some real thought before jumping into! It took me 5 1/2 years before I finally broke down and bought one, but by this time I was 100% sure I could give it my all and had the discipline to accomplish what I wanted with it. I still have a looong ways to go. I'm still new at it, but it's fun and I plan to really stick with it until I'm able to hang on by one toe! Lol. (kidding). Also, you should be sure that you are already somewhat in shape before even climbing the pole because as hard as it may be to believe, it's easy to injure yourself. I pulled a muscle in my arm on the first try. Also, just 2 days ago I was spinning and the area where the pieces of pole are put together, it's like a seam, it caught my palm and I had chunks of metal stuck in my hand! I didn't get all the metal out until today. It was pretty nasty, but it happens. I'm not sure exactly how or if there was just a piece that was unfinished on that seam and my hand slid around it and it just rammed in or what.
Those are just some things to consider and think about before going into something as big as the pole. The swing, you really don't have so much to be cautious about. You could fall and all, but the pole is much harder on the body. It's certainly the BEST workout you'll ever get, IMO.
