Assume that money is no object, but the bride isn't a best friend. The reason I'm nominating cheap is because I'm wondering if it might not be less intrusive/creepy for new-to-toys people. They can laugh at it publicly then go home and use it.

I go with the less expensive one. If they are not a best friend. That way it is not to awkward and they don't feel that way either.

Definitely the cheap but effective route. I'd go something you know for yourself works well, but something that isn't too expensive, or too 'weird' looking, because people can be really dumb about things that aren't shaped exactly as they expect. A simple bullet or vibe would probably be the best bet.

I agree with above...is they're not a best friend, go cheaper.

Go less expensive for sure.

definitely the cheap one

If you're not my best friend, I ain't getting you the expensive one. But I'd probably just opt for a gift card in any case.
11/06/2012
I'd go with the cheap one simply because if the cheap one goes to waste, oh, well. But if that expensive one goes to waste? That would be terrible.

just depends on how you feel about the person even if she isnt abest friend but is a friend then go cheap

I agree with the other posters. Less expensive is better, especially if they aren't a best friend. Less awkwardness.

Hey, Posh was one of my first vibrators - I loved it at the time! It lasted a long time, and worked well the entire time I used it. Just because it doesn't cost much doesn't mean it's "cheap". Posh is actually a pretty solid first toy. I think it would make a nice gift!

Posh for many reasons. Not because Siri isn't probably great, but for a non-best friend? I'd be extremely hesitant about going all out with Siri, especially if she's not even into toys that big in the first place. Cheaper seems the best bet here. Posh is said to be a great vibe too!

Posh.

Yeah, but if money is no object...like in theory I'm a billionaire, then $100 is no big deal for a non-best friend. To me Siri looks more open and discreet for the first-time toy user.
11/07/2012
I like the posh.
11/07/2012
if don't know how it will be received, why spend $$$??
11/07/2012
Posh isn't that bad of a toy and is great for beginners. If you didn't know how well the idea of a sex toy would be for them, there's always giftcards here. They can pick out their own stuff.

I'd opt for the less expensive one since she isn't a best friend and it would be wasteful to spend so much on something she might never use or might not be to her tastes.
11/11/2012
I'd go with the cheap one.

I personally would go with the less expensive one. You don't know if she is going to keep it or throw it away. Save your money buy cheap and if you want to get her something you know she will use then go that route

It's kind of strange that you'd be going to bachlorette party for somebody that you aren't good friends with.
12/10/2012
SIRI!!!
12/10/2012
We got the posh and it works great
12/10/2012
since your friend is new to toys I would go the less expensive route. However, as a recent bachlorette, I highly recommend at least checking with the maid-of-honor or who ever is throwing the party and get their opinions. I had a few people ask my sister and I am glad they did. My husband and I LOVE toys, but in my pinion there is a time and a place. So, it depends on what kind of party it is, who is coming, where it is, and how you think the bride would handle it.

I'd also go for the Posh wiht a non-best friend.

The Posh definitely. That was it isn't such a huge waste if they never use it. It is also a cute and fun looking toy that would make for a great laugh.
