Yikes. Broken glass. Anyone ever have a glass toy break?

We grabbed one of the glass toys from it's PADDED sheath last night. We had the lights pretty low (had the TV on) and thankfully I heard a CRUNCH as I pulled the toy from it's bag. The toy had a fracture in it. Not a big crack, but there was a large (dime size) chip out of the end. The edges were kind of sharp and I am glad we didn't accidentally introduce it to her girlie parts!!! We have no idea how/why it broke. We wash our toys well before putting it in the bag...would have noticed something at that point. THEN we store the think in it's padded bag and it lives in our top nightstand drawer.

Our only guess is that when we shut the drawer, the thing must have taken an angular hit by the drawer edge and top of the nightstand....but that is our guess. Nothing else makes sense.

Have you ever had a glass toy broken?

I have never had a glass toy break and I have dropped them on hardwoods.

I dropped one in the shower once and it broke in 3 pieces. I figure it just hit right because I have never had it happen since.

The only time I have broke one was when I was actually trying too, never during normal use or storage.

I've never broken one before. I have carpet in every room, so even though I've dropped them many times, they've never had any damage.

I've never had one break. I've only ever dropped mine in the shower. Those suckers can be slippery when they're wet. This past Monday however, I watched as my mailman dropped my package, containing two glass dildos, down the concrete steps leading to my unit. I had a mini heart attack before I ripped open the package to inspect them both.

I was going to ask this as well. How long have you had the toy? It could have had a weak spot in it. I haven't ever dropped mine on anything but carpet, but I have had them knock into each other in my bag while driving. Haven't had any break though, so glad you all were paying really closes attention because that would have turned out BAD.

Wow, that's terrible. I'm quite gentle with my glass pieces and none of them have broken on me.
