Being a woman with big breasts, I find it difficult to shop at a regular clothing store for bras and tops that cover and fit around my breasts properly. They have a "full figure" line in a few stores, but sorry to say, they're made for chubby gals, not average and skinny gals with big boobs. Sure, the cup covers the boobs themselves, but they're way too big around on a petite gal like me. And there are online sources, but you have to have a credit card, there are shipping costs, and most importantly you can't try them on. So, you have to wait a few weeks before you receive them, and if they don't fit you have to allot a few weeks for them to be shipped back to the company, and then another few weeks on top of that to get another size. All the while racking up a shipping bill. That's a lot of waiting and money just for a bra or two. Men have Big & Tall shop they can walk into anytime and get what they need. Why can't women have that same leisure? So, I pose this question to all you big busted gals: Would you like to have a walk-in D cup and above shop?

I agree it's a great idea for those who have that need. I guess I'm lucky, I have pretty small/average boobs.

I think the there just needed to be more selection out there. It seems like everyone has something about them that is hard to fit, and designers make things a certain way and it's a pain in the ass to find what you need. I am tall and I have big feet. I always have a hard time finding shoes and pants long enough. I have a cousin that wears a DDD but she is only 5'3 so she needs super short pants. I just think that stores should branch out and really try to fit people better. I know I'm not the only person that wears my shoe size and my size/length pants.

This seems like a no-brainer concept. Why retailers haven't responded to this need is beyond us. After all, if you can get custom-cut jeans on-demand, why not everything else?
08/24/2010
It would be awesome, I think. I'm a D cup, and I tend to be the large end of "regular" stores, and the small end of "plus size" stores. In either case, they rarely have my cup size in stock.
08/24/2010
I'm not that size but it applies to every other woman in my family. I know they would love it. It would be one of the best things ever for women all over the world really.

My wife has 32Gs and can walk into any Nordstroms and find a bra - they aren't cheap - but better to pay for good support than be terminally uncomfortable or start sagging too much.
08/24/2010
Every time I go shopping I think about this. Finding a bra that fits is hard enough, and then there is the nearly impossible task of finding tops, or dresses that fit both my 34D breasts, and my 25 inch waist. Shopping for lingerie can be a nightmare too, because while most manufacturers carry "Plus" sizes for bigger busted gals, unfortunately they are usually for women who are bigger all over, not those of us who are smaller in the waist. Let's put our heads together and get this rolling, I'm all in!!!

Not sure where you live, but there is a chain of walk-in stores that have a shop in my area. Scared the bejesus out of me when I went for a fitting and found out what my bra-size really was though.

Intimacy Bra Store
Warning - they are pretty expensive but worth it. Their tank tops with built in bras are amazing!

I love VS, but I have a hard time finding a comfortable bra out of their large selection that feels good on my D's. The ONLY one they have that I like is the wireless body by victoria and I'm a 38D on the nose, which is nice, because now I can just walk in, pick out a color, and go. I even have a $20 off Angel Reward coupon so I think I'm going to treat myself this week to a new one.

I am a very basic size 34B, not too easy to find a bra that both looks and feels comfortable. I believe bras are designed for mostly C and small D girls only.

Thanks ladies for the input. I was more or less asking for my mom because she's an H cup and she's always complaining about not being able to walk into a store like a normal gal and just buy what she needs.
Also, you all bring up a point I forgot to mention in the original question: the price of the bra itself. Yes, there are certain stores like Victoria Secret and Lane Bryant who carry some bras for the big gals, but they are so expensive. For some of us, it's easy to say that we'll shell out the bucks for a good bra (even if it will take some time to pay off the credit card). But for others, we really wish we had the funds to get what we need. We have to choose sometimes between buying that bra we've needed for months or paying a bill that we can't let go unpaid.
That brings me to another point. Yes, you can find bras on the cheap/semi-cheap side at stores like Walmart. But therein lies a problem with cheap; they don't last very long. I've heard that a Victoria Secret bra can last anywhere from 6 months to a year (depending on how you care for it and frequency of wearing of course). But do our big breasts have to really pay the high end market price for a bra that will hold our boobs to where they should be? Some shout, "YES"! while others say "HELL NO! I want that kind of quality in my price range".
My next question: How much are you willing to pay or what's in your budget for a good quality bra?

I think it would be neat to do, but I have C's so it doesn't apply to me, though if I had big boobs and couldn't find what I was looking for then yes.

Like anything else, demand drives price. If the demand is there, the price could come down. If it's also the only thing the manufacturer makes (like VS), then you're not paying for any additional overhead or product lines .

I have a small A cup so I couldn't imagine having to walk into a D cup shop with my body frame. I'd like to walk in to like a C cup bra though

great idea but maybe not starting at the Ds

I'd love to have a "fits your tits" shop, i'm a 32C finding bras for me is hard, but even harder for my poor 32D girlfriend. There should be a boob fitting shop that just works with boobs that are proportioned unusually to the body.

Would love D+ store! Bras over here are easy enough to get in the right size but I always struggle with tops and dresses ... especially halter styles and swimwear!
10/23/2010
I'm a bigger breasted woman, DDs, and would love that. Now...I'm not petite, but I don't qualify for plus sizes either. It's so hard to find a proper and inexpensive bra, not to mention tops that are made for bigger breasted women. Sports bras are some of the worst too!
I would love, LOVE it if there was a store for bigger breasted women that was more affordable!

I would love that. It's difficult for me to find clothes for my top half.

Can it be reasonably priced too? I'm sick and tired of having to pay over $50 not including tax/shipping/etc. just to get a bra that FITS. Stupid 38G cup. And shirts... don't get me started on shirts. I'd love to find one that a) isn't my husband's shirt, and b) is cute but doesn't make me look pregnant.
Seriously, who wants to fund this? I'm in!!!

Hell yes. Being a 36DD makes it very difficult to find comfortable, sexy and decently fitting bras.
11/05/2010
I always go to Victoria's Secret for bras since they're the only place I can find cute, comfortable bras in my size. I'm 5'1", 38DD. It's hard to find any clothes that fit me right, being petite and big breasted. :/
11/05/2010
Doesn't apply to me, but I think it would be great. I know how much trouble my sisters all have. They would looooove it.
11/05/2010
Oh yes!!! That would make things sooo much easier!

I voted the last option because I don't have much trouble at all finding bras and clothing to fit my D's. BUT I think I'd still go.

Same here. Ever try Fredericks of Hollywood? I pretty much live there. They have great stuff for small girls with big tits :] And amiclubwear has great clothes for the same body type.

I wish there were more stores that specialized in one type of fit. Most of the petite clothes I can find are more like my grandmother might wear or don't fit quite right anyway.
01/21/2011
I voted for my wife who's an average sized DD, and she always has trouble finding good bras that fit well. We used to have a Fredericks of Hollywood that had a couple of styles that fit okay, but they went out of business...
