For those woman who have had children, do you find you need lube more now, then before you had children, or less so?

While age may play into this, I was surprised to find out some woman seem to need LESS use of artificial lubes after having had children, while some need it more. This is most interesting. What is YOUR experience? I think my need for lube, for vaginal play, anyway, has increased...but only as the years have gone on. I don't think there was any difference after my daughter was born.

I needed lube the first few months. My kids were heavy breastfeeders and that can reduce your estrogen levels significantly (in fact prolactin works better in the absence of estrogen, so it's better to have the low estrogen after birth) so I was really dry.

I didn't notice a problem once they were a few months old (but still nursing, obviously) but I got dry again when I went into early peri-menopause. I finally had so many issues with the peri-menopause that I consented to use an estrogen cream, and I haven't had a problem since.

We mostly use lube for anal sex and anal play and late in a marathon of sex, when I'm "cooling down" and I'm running out of natural lubrication.

My wife was pretty wet before and after kids. It wasn't until she was nearly 40 and we got into toys much more that lube came into the equation. We started using a combination Almond/vitamin E oil and have been hooked on similar formulations ever since.

That's an awesome question. We use more lube at times and sometimes I'm so wet we need none. I think the stresss in my life plays a factor.

Having kids didn't seem to impact my wetness one way or the other.
