OK. I have read polls about masturbation and sex and it seems to me that whether or not a person is living with their sex partner, he/she continues to masturbate. Why do you think that is so? Do you get something out of masturbation that you do not or can not get from a partner? Is it the inability to wait for sexual fulfilment (like if you have a hard on at 2:00 PM and your partner won't be home for several hours). Or, is it just a different sexual feeling/experience than partner sex? Lastly, do you hide your masturbation from your partner because it would hurt their feelings and/or your relationship?
WHY DO YOU MASTURBATE?

I masturbate for fun, to relieve tension and to get a rush of endorphins. I don't hide it from my husband and I enjoy being able to freely enjoy myself, whether he is there or not.

We both masturbate, we both know about the other partner's masturbation, sometimes we tell each other about our masturbation sessions because it's sexy. Masturbation is purely about getting off, there's nothing to it but pleasure and possibly fantasy. Partnered sex is about a whole hell of a lot more than that. Sometimes all you really want is to get off, and that's when masturbation comes in, whereas with partnered sex, there's connection, human companionship, tenderness and consideration for someone other than yourself.
Also, I don't always have my partner there or he's not always in the mood, those are other times to go masturbate. Really, though, it's mostly about taking care of myself and loving my body.

I masturbate because I believe that it's healthy to masturbate. It's also a lot of fun.

ALL FUCKING DAY LONG.

I masturbate more when my partner isn't available. Like right now he's long distance. It's definitely a different experience though with some prominent similarities. I find it very relaxing. I can put absolutely everything else out of my mind. I'm pretty open about it with my boyfriend though he's somewhat uncomfortable with it.

i masturbate even if i have a sexual partner it just feels good and its fun.

So, is masturbation a different sexual experience? Is it something that sex with a person can not satisfy?

i don't have a partnet, so i have to masturbate. although i might still masturbate, if they weren't home and i was in the mood.. even if they were home, maybe i could be able to please myself better then they could.
